This is a beautiful product and the color is on point. I should have actually looked at a ruler to see how tiny this tray is. It will hold 1 small candy bar…I have idea what purpose or could serve. Again my fault for not realizing it was so tiny.

For my holiday table I was looking for an elegant, small serving dish. This turned out to be delightfully perfect. Spode’s iconic Blue Italian design is a favorite and it was fun to find this small dish with that pattern. The dish is sturdy and beautiful at a great price for the quality and brand. It would make a great gift for anyone collecting this Spode pattern or for anyone who sets a blue and white table theme (it pairs lovely with milk white).

I saw this small tray and thought certainly it was designed to hold the sugar bowl and creamer from the tea set. Both pieces DO fit on it almost just right, but it should have had a flat area about 1/4" wider and longer to let them sit flatly and sturdily instead of being crowded and wobbling. It really has no other use in terms of size unless you wanted to lay a single row of Ritz crackers on it or something. You can easily skip this piece. If it was just slightly bigger I would definitely say to buy it for the creamer and sugar, because I've had another tea set where the creamer and sugar can be used alone on a small tray (or left at table that way) and it's been eminently useful for over 35 years. I bought this pattern (and tea set) to use in the garden because blue and white china looks good surrounded by greenery like boxwood hedges outside, but also looks fairly lifeless when used inside. Now that I've completed the set I find it less endearing and not really a keeper.
