Description

Believe it or not, we’ve made the box spring more functional, more durable, and dare we even say, fun! Our No Assembly Box Spring is not your average foundation. Its folding design not only makes set-up insanely easy, but it also comes in handy on moving day, maneuvering easily in and around tight hallways and corners. What’s more, it features a structure made of thick and durable steel, meaning that frames and mattresses may come and go, but this box spring will be with you for the long haul. Once unboxed, this brilliant foundation practically assembles itself by taking shape once unfolded. Essentially, deciding where to place the bed will take longer than setting up this box spring. Backed by both our 5-year worry free warranty and hundreds of positive customer reviews, this box spring is about as easy as decisions get.

  • Very nice
Size: Queen Design: Box Spring
I got this box spring for my teenage daughter, and I was pleasantly surprised! The box was easy to open, and I was able to unfold and place it on the bed all by myself—no help or assembly needed. It’s sturdy and well-made, and not too heavy to handle. I was worried it might not be as nice as her old wooden box spring (cracked while jumping on the bed), but it actually feels more solid. Definitely happy with this purchase! ... show more

  • Love these over a traditional box spring any day!
Size: Split King Design: Box Spring
Love these box springs. I needed my new king mattress to be raised up as I felt like I was sleeping on the floor :) These come all ready to go, just unfold, zip up the material cover and all done! Worth every penny and light weight so easy to move around. I would buy these every time. Functions just as needed, no noise at all and very sturdy. ... show more

  • Easy to set up, solidly built, totally worth it. Exactly what I wanted.
Size: Full Design: Box Spring
I recently had to replace a 15 y.o. old box spring, and after some research I decided to try this one. It's only just arrived, but so far, I can say this: 1. It was relatively easy to get into the house, unpack, and set up. The folding arrangement is nice, and it worked well for maneuvering through smaller doors and hallways. Caveat: I was able to do it all by myself with some effort (and I'm not very strong), but I think it would be a smart move to have a second person on hand to help carry and unfold the thing, especially if you've got to negotiate a lot of stairs or tricky/narrow spaces. 2. Once unfolded, I found it surprisingly light for something so solidly built -- certainly much lighter than the wood-and-steel-spring box it's replacing. It's proved very sturdy so far, which is one of the reasons why I chose it. 3. There's not a huge amount of give in this box right now, which I like a lot -- I use it under a large, fairly firm futon rather than a traditional innerspring or foam mattress, and I prefer more support from the box. If you're looking for a springier box under your mattress, this may not be the one to choose. ... show more

  • Couldn't be happier
Size: Split King Design: Box Spring
I expected a single box spring since that is what the picture indicated, I acually got two box springs instead. No big deal, it was probably easier to handle this way.The box springs were folded in half and significantly thinner than they would be once they were in place. Set up was extremely easy. Once I cut the bubble wrap and tie wraps off I carried it over to the bed, and unfolded it. When you unfold it, the supports automatically pop up into place. After that you just zip the cover closed and that's it. Nothing else to it. When you want to remove it, just unzip the cover and pull up at the middle. It will collapse on its own and fold in half again for easy transport. The 5 star rating may be premature since I just set it up less than an hour ago, but it's fair for what has happened so far. They were extremely easy to set up and put into place, they appear to be solidly built. I fully expect them to last much longer than the wooden box springs they replaced. The sag in the bed and the creaking of the wood are gone. I was afraid they might be too thin since I bought the 7 inch box spring instead of the 9, but apparently my wooden box springs were the same size. One of the best features is the zippable cover. The bottom of the cover is made of a much thicker material than the usual flimsy stuff that is always coming loose and hanging down on all the other box springs I've owned. Fixing the hanging material was always a pain in the butt. It ripped very easily and was difficult to reattach to the wooden frame. With this box spring if the cover gets ripped or wears out (not very likely in my opinion), you can just buy a new cover and slide it onto the frame. I had intended to buy locally but all the mattress stores around either didn't offer delivery at all or were going to charge me around $70. I don't own a pickup so I was going to have to rent the Home Depot truck to get it to my house. I decided to wait a few more days and get it delivered straight to my house for free. This box spring was also about $20 cheaper than the locally offered box springs, not including the delivery costs I would have incurred. It doesn't make sense to me that these mattress stores don't offer delivery. Not everyone owns a pickup or is willing to inconvenience their friends or neighbors who have one. I guess at some point they will get tired of losing business and offer delivery. ... show more

  • Amazing product!
Size: Full Design: Box Spring
Just got this item this week and I've slept on it two nights so far. I've had an old, lower-end mattress and box spring set that I'd purchased at a chain mattress store about 9 years ago. It's suffered a lot from the years and having been moved several times. I noticed it was starting to sag and the box spring creaked a lot. I had been pricing new mattress and box spring sets, but I just haven't had enough $$$ lately. So I decided to see about just purchasing a new box spring alone, which is what led me here. I was intrigued by the bifold option, which I figured would make it a lot easier to get into my tiny city apartment. It was more difficult to move up the stairs than I had anticipated, as the box is not terribly heavy but it is bulky. To be fair, the box does indicate that you should have two people lift it - I was doing it alone. Unpacking and setup was pretty easy. I was not able to completely unfold it just using my hands, so I put it on the floor and sat on top of it - problem solved. The construction seems very sturdy, especially compared to my old box spring. I purchased this as well as a new mattress pad to delay the inevitable replacement of my mattress. I'm extremely happy with the results - I feel like I'm sleeping on a whole new bed! I would really recommend this to anyone who feels like they need a whole new mattress set but doesn't want to (or is unable to) spend the money. This was a great solution for me. ... show more
