I expected a single box spring since that is what the picture indicated, I acually got two box springs instead. No big deal, it was probably easier to handle this way.The box springs were folded in half and significantly thinner than they would be once they were in place. Set up was extremely easy. Once I cut the bubble wrap and tie wraps off I carried it over to the bed, and unfolded it. When you unfold it, the supports automatically pop up into place. After that you just zip the cover closed and that's it. Nothing else to it. When you want to remove it, just unzip the cover and pull up at the middle. It will collapse on its own and fold in half again for easy transport. The 5 star rating may be premature since I just set it up less than an hour ago, but it's fair for what has happened so far. They were extremely easy to set up and put into place, they appear to be solidly built. I fully expect them to last much longer than the wooden box springs they replaced. The sag in the bed and the creaking of the wood are gone. I was afraid they might be too thin since I bought the 7 inch box spring instead of the 9, but apparently my wooden box springs were the same size. One of the best features is the zippable cover. The bottom of the cover is made of a much thicker material than the usual flimsy stuff that is always coming loose and hanging down on all the other box springs I've owned. Fixing the hanging material was always a pain in the butt. It ripped very easily and was difficult to reattach to the wooden frame. With this box spring if the cover gets ripped or wears out (not very likely in my opinion), you can just buy a new cover and slide it onto the frame. I had intended to buy locally but all the mattress stores around either didn't offer delivery at all or were going to charge me around $70. I don't own a pickup so I was going to have to rent the Home Depot truck to get it to my house. I decided to wait a few more days and get it delivered straight to my house for free. This box spring was also about $20 cheaper than the locally offered box springs, not including the delivery costs I would have incurred. It doesn't make sense to me that these mattress stores don't offer delivery. Not everyone owns a pickup or is willing to inconvenience their friends or neighbors who have one. I guess at some point they will get tired of losing business and offer delivery.

I got this box spring for my teenage daughter, and I was pleasantly surprised! The box was easy to open, and I was able to unfold and place it on the bed all by myself—no help or assembly needed. It’s sturdy and well-made, and not too heavy to handle. I was worried it might not be as nice as her old wooden box spring (cracked while jumping on the bed), but it actually feels more solid. Definitely happy with this purchase!

I love the fact that I could take it out the box unwrap, unfold & then place it directly where it needed to go. The hardest part was carrying it up my stairs. So glad I found a box spring foundation that had No assembly. Worth every penny. Side Note: Love that amazon offers Entry way delivery but the delivery time frame is horrible. Mine was 8am to 8pm and they got here around 7:45pm-ish. Those of you who choose this option pick a date where you know you’re going to have nothing to do & you will be home all day because that’s what it seems it boils down to. Only once the delivery truck gets CLOSE to your home (which you will never know unless you're constantly checking tracking updates) it will all of a sudden show how many “stops” until they get to your home. That keeps you in the dark all day. That part totally sucks!

Just got this item this week and I've slept on it two nights so far. I've had an old, lower-end mattress and box spring set that I'd purchased at a chain mattress store about 9 years ago. It's suffered a lot from the years and having been moved several times. I noticed it was starting to sag and the box spring creaked a lot. I had been pricing new mattress and box spring sets, but I just haven't had enough $$$ lately. So I decided to see about just purchasing a new box spring alone, which is what led me here. I was intrigued by the bifold option, which I figured would make it a lot easier to get into my tiny city apartment. It was more difficult to move up the stairs than I had anticipated, as the box is not terribly heavy but it is bulky. To be fair, the box does indicate that you should have two people lift it - I was doing it alone. Unpacking and setup was pretty easy. I was not able to completely unfold it just using my hands, so I put it on the floor and sat on top of it - problem solved. The construction seems very sturdy, especially compared to my old box spring. I purchased this as well as a new mattress pad to delay the inevitable replacement of my mattress. I'm extremely happy with the results - I feel like I'm sleeping on a whole new bed! I would really recommend this to anyone who feels like they need a whole new mattress set but doesn't want to (or is unable to) spend the money. This was a great solution for me.

I ordered this queen size box spring for the platform bed in our guest room. I chose this one because of the price and the reviews. I also like that the frame is metal instead of wood. I received it at our door 2 days after ordering, it was well packaged in a cardboard box, bubble wrap, and padding on some points (I don't know what they are). Between the size of the box which the UPS guy carried on his shoulder and what the box spring looked like when we first took it out of the box my husband announced I had been ripped off, that no way this was 7.5 " deep. We unfolded it, zipped up the cover, put the mattress on top and voilà! we have real grown up bed! It looks good, sturdy, is indeed 7.5" deep. It is so simple to set up we kept rereading the instructions thinking there must be more to it. I am giving it 4 stars only because no one has slept on it yet. At this point I would buy it again and would recommend it to a friend.

The Zinus 7.5 inch High Profile Box Spring made my sofabed actually usable. I bought a sofa bed with the intention of having a place for my guest to sleep when they visit. Upon sleeping on it for one night, I realized that it was impossible to get a decent nights sleep on it since I was able to feel the platform of the frame. So I decided to find a solution to this and then discovered the Zino. This box spring is a lifesaver and is comfortable to sleep on. The construction is sturdy but lightweight so setting it up is quite simple. Although at times, it is a little difficult to collapse for storage but I'm sure this is due to the fact that I tend to try to fold it while it's vertical instead of lying flat. Since I am on the heavier side, the metal slates of the frame did bend and contour to my body the longer that I used it, but it's now to a point where I can sleep comfortable in my molded groove. This is mostly because I wasn't sleeping on a full sized mattress but a thin sofabed memory foam so I do not foresee this happening if you have a really thick mattress on top of it. All in all, i will recommend this item to anyone that has a need for a boxspring that can be set up and taken down when guests arrive.
