A stylish descent looking bed. The black color makes it compatible with any bedroom. High enough for those who choose elevated bed but not too high. It was not tested with too much movement on the bed. But it is sturdy enough for a quiet peaceful nightly sleep, just,😴😴😴. The alignment has never been a problem after used for more than five years of daily use, still only for sleeping with no bed sports 😊.     • Fantastic purchase with great finishing touches

This was really a fantastic purchase. Yes you can buy an extremely similar looking cheapo version for half the price on Amazon. But this is still a wonderfully affordable bed and the finishing touches and flourishes for spending a little more really show. Starting from the assembly phase. Inside the main box was just one item--the headboard. And it zips open to contain everything else. It may sound like a trivial thing, but it let me know from the get-go that they took some time to cleverly design this product/packaging. Also, the headboard which zips open in the back would be a good place to hide money or anything else. I thought about stuffing it with bundled 100-dollar bills, but then remembered that I don't have any of those. So my next thought was to put the instructions and included tools and extra hardware in there. But I worried it might rattle around in there, so in the end I left it empty. Still cool though. The instructions were mostly illustrations, but did have some helpful English text. They bolts all used the same allen key size and they even included a handy little ratchet. Putting it together probably took 2-3 hours, but I did laundry and a few other small chores at the same time. Setting it up was fairly easy for 1 person, but moving a king-sized mattress onto it could be difficult for some people. I ordered the Olee Sleep 13-Inch Galazy Hybrid mattress at the same time, and that works great on my bed. I think the bed + mattress would be a perfect height for most people. I'm a little paranoid about my toddler falling off since he sleeps on this occasionally. So if I did it over, I would have bought a thinner mattress. The bed slats are bowed upward such that they give a springlike action which I think improves the overall comfort versus flat-slatted beds. I was slightly annoyed by the insert saying that by buying this product, you agree to settle any disputes by arbitration. I doubt that is enforceable given that people didn't even know they were making any such "agreement" when ordering the item. It says you can mail them within 30 days to opt out, but it's obnoxious and doesn't feel like a company which stands by their products. But it's not bad enough for me to deduct the 5th star from this otherwise great product! ... show more

    • Excellent Bed Design, ingenius packaging and assembly foresight

I just put this bed together yesterday, prolly took me about 20 minutes or so. I can't say enough good things about this bed. First off, the packaging of all components is ingeniously done in such a way that all the parts that make the bed fit inside the headboard like a jig saw puzzle. Take the headboard out of the box, unzip the headboard and take all bed parts out. The headboard contains, 1 footboard and 4 legs for the boards, curved slats with end caps and mid caps, screw set and an allen key, assembly manual, 4 split side rails and the mid frame tubings. The designers of this bed have done an excellent job of design keeping in mind the structural rigidity of the bed, its assembly and economical shipping. I've already pointed out how it is packaged. As for assembly, you only need to screw in 7 screws, 3 of which are used to form the mid frame junction and 4 of which are used to mount the two legs of the frame. The screws are even of the same thread size, so you use the same allen key for screwing those in. The bed also uses two screws each on all four corners to join the side rails to the headboard and footboard, but these come pre-assembled already, you just need to loosen the screws a bit and drop in the side rails. The bed manufacturer has also gone through the trouble of pre-drilling all holes for supporting the bed platform slats onto the siderails and midframe. To make things even more delightful, there is no drilling needed on the slats. It comes with end cap inserts that slide on each end of the slats as well as a midcap insert to join the two slats together. Both the end caps and the mid cap have dowels at the bottom that fit intutively into the predrilled holes in the side rails as well as the midframe. I was already in love with this bed so far into the assembly, but this portion of assembly with end caps and pre drilled holes, really blew my mind away. I am a design and manufacturing engineer myself, as I know how much thought can go into a design and know that it pays to have foresight into the user experience. I can truly appreciate the beauty of this bed design in its entirety and know that both the manufacturer and the designers of this bed have come together as a team to provide the best value to the customer. This bed is absolutely competitively priced and is the best bang for your buck at $160 some dollars for a king size! I love this bed! Highly recommend it. ... show more
