A stylish descent looking bed. The black color makes it compatible with any bedroom. High enough for those who choose elevated bed but not too high. It was not tested with too much movement on the bed. But it is sturdy enough for a quiet peaceful nightly sleep, just,😴😴😴. The alignment has never been a problem after used for more than five years of daily use, still only for sleeping with no bed sports 😊.     • Fantastic purchase with great finishing touches

This was really a fantastic purchase. Yes you can buy an extremely similar looking cheapo version for half the price on Amazon. But this is still a wonderfully affordable bed and the finishing touches and flourishes for spending a little more really show. Starting from the assembly phase. Inside the main box was just one item--the headboard. And it zips open to contain everything else. It may sound like a trivial thing, but it let me know from the get-go that they took some time to cleverly design this product/packaging. Also, the headboard which zips open in the back would be a good place to hide money or anything else. I thought about stuffing it with bundled 100-dollar bills, but then remembered that I don't have any of those. So my next thought was to put the instructions and included tools and extra hardware in there. But I worried it might rattle around in there, so in the end I left it empty. Still cool though. The instructions were mostly illustrations, but did have some helpful English text. They bolts all used the same allen key size and they even included a handy little ratchet. Putting it together probably took 2-3 hours, but I did laundry and a few other small chores at the same time. Setting it up was fairly easy for 1 person, but moving a king-sized mattress onto it could be difficult for some people. I ordered the Olee Sleep 13-Inch Galazy Hybrid mattress at the same time, and that works great on my bed. I think the bed + mattress would be a perfect height for most people. I'm a little paranoid about my toddler falling off since he sleeps on this occasionally. So if I did it over, I would have bought a thinner mattress. The bed slats are bowed upward such that they give a springlike action which I think improves the overall comfort versus flat-slatted beds. I was slightly annoyed by the insert saying that by buying this product, you agree to settle any disputes by arbitration. I doubt that is enforceable given that people didn't even know they were making any such "agreement" when ordering the item. It says you can mail them within 30 days to opt out, but it's obnoxious and doesn't feel like a company which stands by their products. But it's not bad enough for me to deduct the 5th star from this otherwise great product! ... show more

Excellent bed! Shipped in a huge heavy box, so I cut it open on the porch and hauled all the parts inside. It was well packaged, and it took me about 2 hours to fully assemble. The instructions were adequate, but not great. There were a few creases/indents in the leather, but they are gone now after about 3 weeks. Fits my mattress perfectly (Temperpedic extra firm) and is completely silent so far. Great buy! ... show more

This is my second - and possibly last - Zinus bed frame purchase. Cons: 1. The 'leather' covering the footboard - across 80% of its width - was severely creased / damaged right out of the box. There is no way to return only 1 piece of the bed for free replacement 2. Assembly is unnecessarily awkward because the old system of wood slats that span the width of the bed has been replaced by 14 'ribs' that must be connected in the middle of the bed. (28 pieces of wood total). Awkward bending, reaching, and leaning over to put ribs in place. 3. Zinus continues to ignore consumers who want good bed height off the ground to have clearance for storage underneath and for body comfort getting in and out of bed. 4. The WORST aspect of this frame: The side panels are poorly designed, so the mattress does not sit 'down' onto the frame to be held securely in place. When using the bed for any sort of 'activity', the mattress can easily slide over the frame. You'll be constantly required to move a heavy mattress back into the center of your bed frame. Pros: 1. An attractive price when you purchase it on sale. 2. Sturdy if you carefully assemble it. 3. Looks nice if the 'leather' pieces are not damaged. 4. They now provide a rachet to facilitate assembly. ... show more
