I looked for a platform bed off and on for about 11 months. I was beginning to think my husband was going to have to build one. Then I found this one - the price was a bonus. It arrived two days ahead of schedule. It was Packaged well. Not that many parts. Quick and easy assembly. No manufacturing damage. Supported our king Tempur-Pedic mattress without any issues. No squeaking. Husband is an engineer and said if the screws are tightened properly the bed will not squeak. The ratchet tool included with the bed is nice, especially if you don't have tools. The slats use hook and loop to stay in place. Hook strip on the bed frame, loop strip on the slats. They also have two strips of sticky tape to hold your mattress in place. After sleeping on the bed we're very happy with this purchase. It is a well designed sturdy bed. The design award was justified. UPDATE - We are using the ample space under the bed for storage. Not wanting people to see the storage containers I started looking for an option to screen the space. I DID NOT want a bed skirt. I purchased a 16" table runner and folded it over 2" and pressed the runner. Then I used 3/4" rare earth magnets to attach the runner to the steel bed frame placing the magnets on the folded over portion of the runner. It was 9 feet long so it wrapped around the head of the bed. Best part I didn't have to wrestle the skirt under the mattress. It looks neat and clean and it was an easy solution. I purchased some black metal buttons to glue to the rare earth magnets for a finished look. They weren’t magnetic so I cut off the button backs for a flat surface. Any button you like will do. Update #2 - Just bought another one of these platforms in full size. It went together just as easily as the first one. Those allen screws have never loosened since we assembled. Still very pleased. i love this bed frame. my boyfriend wanted one where the bed isn't sitting in the frame (if that makes sense) because we kept hitting our shins on my old frame lol. so we looked for ones like this where the bed just sits on top. i was skeptical we would find something that looked nice, not plain and cheap. i really like the design, it looks very nice in our room and i love the wood accent. it looks modern and helps conceal anything you have under the bed. we don't use a bedskirt because my cats would probably destroy it. i really like how high off the ground it is, im 5'3 and i think its much more comfortable than the typical lower height. my boyfriend is 6'7 and fully mobile but he still prefers a higher bed since it's easier to get in and out of, especially for him. i would say it was incredibly easy to set up, did it myself and took me maybe 10 minutes. it comes with a pretty nice ratcheting wrench, so you don't need any other tools. it feels stable, we haven't had any issues where it feels wobbly. it also does NOT squeak or make any noise; i was very afraid it would be. the wood slats have two long pieces of tape on them you can use to stick it to your mattress to make it extra secure. we didn't take the plastic off so our mattress is just sitting on top and it doesn't really slide around at all. we maybe adjust it like an inch or so every week when we clean. i love how much space is under the bed, i can fit a full size suitcase under, and my under the bed storage totes i have can stack!!! my cats also love it under there i really like it :) highly recommend!! ... show more

It took less time to assemble this than it did to remove it from the packaging. Basically, lay out the components on the floor and insert & tighten 13 bolts and 1 washer - that's it. It arrived in one, large box - about 85 inches long, weighing probably 50 lbs. Regarding the product: - The frame is very sturdy and makes no noise. I read that sometimes there can be some velcro noise (velcro is how the slat spacing is preserved) if the mattress shifts around, but I haven't experienced that. -Lookswise, it matches the photos in the description, and it fits a queen-sized Nectar mattress perfectly. - Pricewise, it's an outstanding value - I haven't experienced another bed frame for just over 100 bucks that is this practical and sturdy. Things to consider if buying this: - Use some BLUE Loctite on the bolts. Even with a metal frame, they can back out over time. Blue Loctite will provide just enough of a bond to prevent that, while still allowing easy disassembly down the road. - This is a metal frame and will scratch a hardwood floor if moved around. I have it on a rug, so there is no problem, and it's easy to move on the rug, if needed, but it doesn't slide around on its own. - There is no headboard on this one, but there is another model on Amazon that is this frame with the headboard, and it's not much more money. Cons: - I suppose the velcro could have better adhesive on the back side, where it sticks to the frame - I found it easy to peel up, but that's about it. ... show more

LOVE this bed frame! We have had it for over 4 years and have had no problems! The storage space is incredible, and its so open, and there isnt any springs or things in the way to ruin your mattress or anything you place underneath. The function is so nice, and it gives the room decor a clean and simple feel. Its a higher frame so it elevates the room! I wish the wood went wither all the way to the bottom or there was something covering the space on the end, since you can see any containers you place underneath. ... show more
