This daybed was bought to replace a crib in the room where our toddler grandson stays overnight when visiting. I needed something sturdy that would not topple or move. I also wanted something that was adult sized and allowed the room to be easily converted if it was needed for adult guests. This has been perfect! After reading reviews on this product, I was worried about putting it together. I procrastinated for over a month and left it in the box. I just put it together this week, and it was wonderful! All of the parts are numbered, there's even a ratchet tool included to help with putting in the screws. The parts are bundled by which section they're in, which also makes it easier to sort things out. I put it together by myself in a couple of hours. The pictures show you which area you're working on, the numbers line up great. I bought it mostly for the price, but it's really solid metal, and it looks just like the picture, and is really sturdy. Given the relatively low price, I wasn't sure what to expect and have to reading some of the negative reviews. My expectations were not great. I was pleasantly surprised that everything was packaged nicely and neatly labeled with numbers to ease in assembly. Though I wouldn't call it a beefy bed. It's far from flimsy. The pieces went together very smoothly and given the excellent labeling, it was very easy to put together. I really appreciate that. The manufacturer even included a ratchet which made my life so much easier. For those that didn't like the instructions (I thought they were fine) They include a link to a video. That video shows in detail all the pieces being assembled. Not sure it could have been much simpler. The manufacturer even added extra bolts in case you would need them in the future though I don't really know what scenario that would be the case. To me it just shows that they care about the customer and are willing to go the extra mile. I was pleased with the end result. The only thing I would have wished is at the 90° angle at the end of the handrails was curved. I don't think I'll be bumping into them but somebody might and that would put a bruise on you. All in all, I'm very pleased and will be ordering a second one for my upstairs office. ... show more

I really like this bed. My daughter and family from Arkansas visited me for Christmas and I had a place for everyone to sleep. I suppose one person could put it together but my sister and I put this together and it was pretty simple. We are in our 70’s and 80’s, so if we can do it, surely anyone can. The only problem I had was I should have purchased an 8 inch mattress For the bottom instead of a 10 inch it’s almost too big to slide under there. I purchased this bed for sleepovers with my nieces and nephew. I have slept on it a few times as well. The bed is great! Instructions call for a two person assembly team; however, I assembled it on my own. The instructions were straightforward using a numbering systems. You simply match the numbers on the corresponding pieces. I have a 10-inch mattress on top and an 8-inch mattress on the bottom. I don’t normally write reviews, but I was so impressed with this I had to! I bought this bed for my boys’ play room. I was worried that due to the price everything about it would feel cheap, including the assembly instructions and tools. I kept expecting to not have a material I needed. But, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and organized everything was!! I was able to put this together all by myself in under an hour. I called my boys over to hold things in position so I could screw things in, but other than that I did it all by myself. They thought of EVERYTHING! Like this awesome allen wrench ratchet!!! I would buy this just for this tool alone! I’m keeping the tool in my toolbox for future use. They included non-slip adhesive tape to the rails under the mattress. The casters move easily in all directions. It was so easy and feels sturdy! And even if my boys are rough on it and it starts to loosen, I have a handy ratchet that I can use to quickly tighten up the screws! (Can you tell I love that ratchet?!?) Highly recommend.
