It’s a super convenient option for not wanting a box spring, especially when you don’t want your mattress so elevated and it’s memory foam and you need the extra support if your bed doesn’t come with many slats. The only thing that sucks with these is that they’re not anchored down in anyway and not heavy enough like a box spring to not move when you put the mattress on. But that’s also a plus that they’re so light you can place them on your bed by yourself. You just have to be extra careful when placing your mattress on top of them not to slide the bunkie boards out of place when you do it. The bunkie boards will fit either vertically or horizontally on your bed. I chose to place them vertically for extra support. But once the mattress is on they provide perfect support and stability. These were perfect for my toddler’s full size bed to keep the mattress low and supported and the fabric cover keeps from tearing up your mattress! ... show more

I bought a cute bed that said it required no box springs because it has metal slats across the frame. However, the slats are about 6 inches apart and my soft mattress falls through the openings and my nights were pretty miserable. These slats fixed the problem IMMEDIATELY! They run vertically while my slats are horizontal so my mattress is completely straight and flat. You literally take them out of the package and lay them across your bed frame, add the mattress, and done. My only complaint is they move around a bit so I have to put them back in place occasionally but its a small price to pay. ... show more
