  • Great filament! Cool green glow in purple filament.
Color: Petg Purple/Green
Prints really well. I use a Bambu X1 Carbon and just use the generic PETG preset and it prints great. The green glow-in-the-dark is also really cool! One note, it’s pretty abrasive so if you print a lot of it you need to check your PTFE tubes as it’ll eat through em if you have any tight bends. The photos are of a couple of my products, one with a transparent orange center (Sunlu) and this purple in daylight and in a completely dark room. The other shows a full purple one so you can see the glitter and texture. ... show more

  • A great filament not without fault
This is an excellent filament depending on what you are using it for. For testing all of my new filaments, I use thing:1023717 to find basic settings like temps and print speeds. What I found, that isn't shown in the photos from other reviewers, is a model with thin vertical walls which have a high number of retractions does not seem to show the glitter effect of the filament. The top and bottom surfaces of my three prints all have a strong glitter effect, but the walls are almost entirely black. I printed out another model that does not have thin walls or a high number of retractions and reproduced what was seen in the other photos. Additionally, this filament is very rigid when compared to some of the other brands of PLA I have printed with (Hatchbox, Zyltech, Prusa, and Atomic) which works well for the applications I intend to use it for. To address the stringing, I printed this filament at 195' and found almost zero stringing present. At higher temperatures any time there was a retraction, the melting glitter would string very badly. The lower temperature is different that what I normally print at, but was required for this filament. My suggestion would be to print a small retraction test such as thing:909901 and adjust your temperature, retraction, and speed (primarily travel speed) settings until your results improve. Finally, the item name containing "Marble Color" is slightly misleading. However, the name on the label only reads as "Shining Black" and does not mention marble anywhere. This is a very good filament at a lower cost when compared to similar products such as Fillamentum's "Vertigo Grey" that can achieve exceptional looking prints if coupled with the correct slicer settings. _____________________________________________________________________ Printer: Prusa Mk3 Slicer: Prusa Slic3r Print Settings: Stock .10mm settings Filament Settings: Stock settings with the exception of a print temp of 195' ... show more

  • Prints great. Glows well.
Color: Petg Purple/Green
I was a little apprehensive to point with this filament, I've had issues with other no name brands. Set the printer up like I normally do for petg, printed off a test cube and tweaked a few settings and off it went. 28hr fairy tree house pot for my dayghters birthday. Had a minor issue with the first attempt, color was kinda off and it was popping quite a bit. Unfortunately I didn't notice it since I was at work.... got home and it was pretty much a mess. Tossed it in the dryer over night, hooked it back up and restarted the print. (I let it feed from the dryer to the printer) fantastic! Looks awesome, kinda see through, but brilliant purple color and the metal flakes just set it off great. True test we left it sit in our bedroom window,(this was hard as it's a gift and her birthday is a few months off yet, didn't want her to see it.) Checked it out in the evening and it had a great green glow! I normally leave pretty early for work, checked it out again didn't make it till morning but I was pretty impressed either way. Only downside was I burned up about 80% of the spool between the test print, failed print and the final print. I'll have to get more when the need arises. 245c filament temp, 75c bed temp (sunlu magnetic bed plate.) I could not get it to stick to my pei textured or smooth bed plate or my textured steel bed plate. Stuck really well to the sunlu build plate. Printing at 80mm sec base .2mm adaptive layer height. ... show more

  • Length of color intervals is to long to achieve gradient effect
From a printing perspective, this filament feeds well, produces nice parts with a sheen finish that is nice, and I have had no printing problems with this filament over numerous prints, so I can recommend this filament for its production characteristics. The one thing that prevented me from providing 5 stars has to do with the interval between the colors changing. The length of the colors before changing (several meters) to another color is rather significant, so much so that some rather large prints (up to 10-12 inches) only show one color with no gradient effect at all. The primary reason for buying the filament in the first place was to achieve the gradient color effect for truly unique prints. If the colors changed more frequently, I would happy give this product 5 stars. ... show more

  • Sparkly Purple Glow-In-The-Dark is Gorgeous
Color: Petg Purple/Green
This filament is so fun. Even if it was just the purple without sparkles or glow-in-the-dark features, it would be a great PETG filament. But add the sparkles and the glow-in-the-dark features? It is utterly gorgeous! My brain has trouble making sense of something that is so clearly purple glowing green. It is a very interesting effect. It printed easily and cleanly, one of the easier PETG filaments to print IMHO. I printed at 240°C with an 80°C heated bed. The glow-in-the-dark effect doesn't last very long, so if the glow-in-the-dark feature is super important get a dedicated luminous filament. I want to try making some pendant-light shades from this stuff. ... show more
