This lamp was as easy to install as any other with multiple wirings. It is important to strip the wires a little more to give a good grip. You will need different caps as the ones that came with it are woefully inadequate, however I did not find this to be much of a problem. The instructions are not great, but it is all pretty self explanatory. Just make sure to check the two slightly different sizes on the fixtures. This light fixer worked out great in out kitchen - it provides a lot of light and beautifully reflects off the ceiling! We ended up using 40w 2200 edison bulbs which provides the perfect amount of light.

This is a great ceiling light. You can mount it like a wall sconce if you'd like a unique style. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 is because you must be patient and assemble the entire light. It is worth the effort. Another consumer said the caps were less than desirable, however they worked good for us. Depending where you're placing this, I suggest you choose bright white Edison lights or warm gold Edison lights. One things I didn't mention is that we have a dimmer switch on this light and it looks fantastic. I tried both and wanted the bright lights. The light bulbs are exposed so do invest in aesthetically pretty light bulbs. I do recommend this product. ... show more

I like the design of these fixtures but was surprised to find I would be fully assembling them myself! The fixture comes in 5 pieces and you have to figure out how to put them together. It is a wonderful light and you get more than you pay for IMO. The only issue I have is with installation. It's easy and straight forward, however there are four wires for live and neutral so right total, and you have to mount that to the one live and one neutral wire in your home. It would be fine but the clamps provided are trash and you need the heavy duty ones to get all the wires to stay put. I also put electrical tape to solidify the connection.
