This is the best spot carpet cleaner I have ever found. I have two cats, one is 19 years old, and has a very sensitive digestive track. Every 2-3 days, she throws up her food. It used to leave a yellow stain on my carpet and even my carpet cleaning guy could not get out the stains. Having moved to a new home, I was very concerned about not having the carpet stained and did some research. I found this product! You just spray it directly onto the stain and in less than 5 minutes, you blot it with a clean cloth and everything disappears: no stain left behind. You really have to blot it very well, though, or the place you sprayed will pick up dirt from your shoes. I usually blot it about 3 times and then make sure no one walks over the spot for a least 10 minutes. It is a very fast drying product. If the stain is really large, my husband brings in the shop vac and sucks up all the product to make sure it completely dries before anyone can walk on it. I think it works like magic.

Not inexpensive but this is well worth it. I used to buy this from Home Depot but they've been out of it for a while. This will clean almost anything!

I removed prune juice stains on off white carpet with this product. In the past I have used this product to remove red wine spills from white carpets. Ir is the only spot remover I will use.

Once upon a time there was a remarkable solvent called ZEP XOUT II. It would disappear grease and tar instantly. One spray one buff and it vanished like magic. No reapplication, no scrubbing, no residue. Unfortunately, I used up the very last drop of the very last can cleaning grease spots on carpet. Now, I find the new formula is more like a detergent than a solvent. It requires way more effort and it still does not easily remove the grease spots; this is why I am so disappointed.

My puppy unfortunately took quite a while before she stopped having accidents in my apartment. Although I used paper towels, a special product from my vet to prevent odor, and Woolite carpet cleaner immediately (I'm retired so I always noticed right away) I could not completely remove the stain. Once she was house trained I hated all those spots that still remained even though I periodically tried further removing them with more Woolite. I confess they were left there for four or so months. I decided to try this ZEP spot remover. Unbelievable! I'm finished treating all the stains and there is not a trace visible anywhere. It did take several applications on each spot but a small price to pay for the great results. I followed all the steps including roughing up the carpet a little bit after spraying, then used either many layers of TP or fewer layers of paper towel (not sure which was less expensive.) And then I stepped on them with all my weight. Very satisfying to turn the paper over and see all that stain on it! I tried leaving it on for a few minutes before completing this final step to see if that worked even better but decided it was actually more effective if it is absorbed up as soon as the paper is put down. Oh, and the aroma is pleasant and very subtle, no chemical smell.
