  • Works great saved $800
Size: 7 in./100 ft. Style: without Locator
Had a obstructed sewer line, was able to view the entire sewer system of the house. I had assistance turning on water at different locations in the home, to help identify and navigate the pipes. I could have used dye also but was not necessary in this instance. I used the smaller guide on the camera in 4 inch pipe. A previous drain service told me that my main line was clogged with grease from the kitchen line. Even showed pictures to support what hes was stating. He wanted $800. to jet my sewer line. now I know they were trying to scam me. ... show more

  • Read the video instructions make everything easier.

Works like a charm, charge the monitor, fit the camera, and off you go . A quick read of the instructions is always good , I will make things easier for sure. Very happy with this unit.

  • Needs some improvements.
Size: 4.3 in./100 ft. Style: without Locator
Initially I though the camera was DOA. I had no signal from the camera at all. The problem was poor connection at 3.5mm jack on the monitor/controller. It wasn't sitting fully out of the box and also had to twist it back and forth to clear oxidation off. Picture quality it self is good, however there are few improvements to be made. The way plastic sleeve/spacer mounts to the camera is not very secure. It uses plastic screws to clamp on to smooth surface of the camera. There is risk of it falling off in the drain line. Would been great if there was a groove cut in the camera body or extend spacer behind camera to make it more secure. Head of the camera has sharp edge in front. It can get caught in the rough surface (joints or cast iron pipe) without using plastic spacer sleeve. Would been nice if that area was designed to be more smooth. Monitor folds screen facing up. This could lead to screen damage in storage. Would been nice of it was mounted to have screen fold down. Or may be make it easily detachable so it can be stored inside storage box. ... show more

  • great for random clogs
Size: 4.3 in./66 ft. Style: without Locator
So..this is one thing that I went back and forth on and if it was worth it to have. But after a fun plumbing bill for a little bit less for a simple clog that was down the line we just could not see, I decided it was worth it! For some reason our system has an extra long drain line that has an odd kink at one point. After having one of our systems replaced we learned thats just how it has to be because of the home design unless we want to spend a lot more to spend a lot more to relocate it. So. This camera has been very helpful with monitoring the drain line for our AC. so far we have had it a few months and just turning it on for 10-15mins once a month has been fine. Have not needed to charge it yet. the camera is pretty good. some of the navigation is weird and i am worried it could break on the curve one day and then idk. for now, its cheaper than a plumber and great to have on hand for random clogs. ... show more

  • Good camera for basic plumbing needs
Size: 4.3 in./100 ft. Style: without Locator
I don't think I'd call this camera "professional" quality but it's a big step up from a simple USB boroscope camera. The cable has a nice stiffness. Just enough to feed into most pipes but flexible enough to make it around 45 degree bends. You'll still not be able to easily to choose between two paths in a Y joint, but if you're coming in from the top of the Y you'll have no problem navigating the bend in most cases. The camera does not self right so you will have to gain some experience with how to view things as cable twists through the pipe. This is pretty common to the cameras in this range but is something you will want to consider. Is it worth the extra to get a camera that always displays an upright view of the pipe? The all-in-one portability is nice with the monitor and cable storage/feeder all together. The feeder works well and stores the cable cleanly. I feel the monitor could have been made a little easier to use by allowing me to remove it and change the orientation but this is a minor nitpick. The monitor image itself is quite good and the lighting from the camera's multiple LEDs provides a good amount of light. The recording function works well. The interface is a little wonky but they always are on these types of products. Once you figure out the bottom combos it all makes sense. The attachments that work on the camera are adequate for my personal home fixing needs. I am not sure I'd trust them in a professional setting. They just don't seem robust enough to survive day-in and day-out use of professional plumbing. But that's just my opinion. Final Verdict: Approved. I survived previous plumbing emergencies with a much simpler set up and this, with it's feeder, is a big step up. If you think you have the fixer-upper skill set to take advantage of the capabilities of this camera it might be a great purchase instead of a plumber. ... show more
