The pen of this set is working well. It is nice to have a mechanical pencil around too. I have had trouble with ballpoint pens not continuing to dispense ink mid-signature for instance, needing constantly to be scribbled back to life. I don't know if their quality is not there anymore, or rare use due to computers is to blame, but it was getting increasingly hard to write a check for instance with the big brand pens I had around. At least with this pen new, it has taken that problem away. If you are looking specifically for an ergonomic pen or pencil, these are just normal ones--no complaints but there are softer ones out there. Here is a stopgap hint. if your finger is tired from holding a pen or pencil, try putting the pen or pencil between your first and second fingers and hold with your thumb. This keeps the shaft from pressing on the knucklebone. ... show more
