Impressive combo. Impressive results.
I bought this combo for my wife as she wanted to learn how to bass fish. She has been a fan of saltwater fishing her entire life, never attempted fresh water fishing. After I gave her the combo, I taught her how to fish soft plastics she caught her first bass and has become a fan of bass fishing. Her favorite color is pink so I got her the pink combo. She absolutely loves it. Now she even outfishes me and I have been bass fishing my whole life. It is a good sturdy build with great action, the reel is enough to pull in a double digit. I have nothing negative to say about this rig. Highly recommend this one.

Perfect all around for the wife
Purchased this rod for my wife as a catfish rod and she loves it! She does own 1 piece baitcasters and loves this one as its a 2 piece so easier to take just about anywhere

terrible product

This reel came with terrible line that tries to stay wound up. the line gets tangled under the bottom of the spinning mechanism which is poorly designed. Zebco reels have always been a favorite of mine until this reel. The rod is stiff and not as described. I will try another line on it before I give up entirely on it. It should have come in working order.

So this was my first medium action rod and its pretty good so far! I wanted to get into bass fishing so I did some research and got this rod and some senkos as well as some big hooks. But this is a great place to start. I got the rod black and the held up pretty good the reel is OK but for the price its great as for the rod it cast great. If want a cheap but still good rod zebco is the way too go.
