Hello everyone, I live in a 15 bedroom/bathroom house, and we share the kitchen, laundry room, pool and WIFI. Sharing WIFI with sometimes 15 people can be draining on me and my laptop. I had a WIFI range extender from when I lived in a RV to boost internet from a house to my RV. I tried that here, but it is not exactly what works for this type of situation. But the "4G LTE-Advanced USB Wi-Fi Dongle & Mobile Hotspot Router" does work and works wonderfully. In fact, I just plugged it in now as things were very slow right now and I was getting stressed. As soon as it connected surfing is smooth and fast. It comes with plenty of directions so installing is very easy. The only issue for me is I can't afford a lot for a large data plan so I just use it whenever I need to do something important and can't wait for things to upload. because 15 other people are online. Since we already pay for internet access here at my house this Spectrum Smart device will be my emergency backup. It will also be good when traveling. Highly recommend. Are you without cell phone service because maybe times are hard and you can’t afford to pay the big companies for a plan? Well that was me for 6 months and after I ordered this thing, I had WiFi everywhere I went on my phone. It pulls off all the major service towers so service was never an issue even when camping and no one else had service. If anything it made my service quicker! The plans have as low as $10 a month but that doesn’t give you much data if you use your device all the time you will only have less than a day of use. It is small and compact and only needs to plug into a USB power source like the USB outlets in your car, power band or wall charger. ... show more

    • The monthly plans don’t last one day! Not even the $10 or $20 plans, smh
I got this so I could use for my business while working on my laptop. The setup was easy to do but the service didn’t last one day!!! It basically just eats off all your money that was supposed to last you for a whole month until it times to renew. I think this will only suck you dry for your money since it will not work unless you add another monthly plan. I’m sending mine back. ... show more

You defiantly get what you pay for with these dongles! Its all about the number of bands. This one has more than most. The cheaper ones only work on 3 or 4 bands so connectivity is sparse at best. If the bands are not listed in the description, Stay away! First thing you do is throw away the sim card and get another data plan sim. I found that it Works with Mint mobile, Kiwisim, Tello. Basically GMS (T-moble and AT&T networks} without any problems. Haven’t tried visable moble yet but have my doubts as it lacks band 13 needed to run on Verizon, will try. Its Definitely not a Olax U90, doesn’t even match the picture on the box. I suspect its a cheaper version that Spectrum stuck its name on and called it a "U90 slim" to sell a scammy data plan. If you use this as a OpenWRT router LTE input. It works great! You can turn off the WiFi and use it as a dongle only, thus not broadcasting your SSID. Easy to set up and add APN’s and mess with other peramators. All things considered, I'm glad i got it because it works with the networks mentioned and i can use it remotely for security cameras and remote control devices. ... show more

Terrible internet I had to send it back because it didn’t work for me like I wanted it too. Bit customer service did give me my money back for an extra purchase that wasn’t supposed to go through however you can’t call you have to communicate through email.

Wonderful! I bought this recently for my son to use his tablet on a long drive for vacation. I was surprised at how EASY it was to set up. Initial setup took maybe 5 minutes, and then you just plug it into a USB port. It automatically finds signal (very quickly). You do have to add data like you would with any other similar product, however I only spent $35 total for the whole trip (12 hours there and back and only used in the car) and he was on his tablet quite a bit. I think it is without a doubt worth the money. There is still data left over, and I’m glad I have it for future use. Also, it is very small. I could plug it into and close the console.
