So I have tried out a few other mic stands in the past but all of them broke. Normally it is due to the weight of my mic or poor quality of materials. When I chose this I felt like for the price I will try it. Boy was I surprised when I got this in the mail a few days later. It is super easy to put together and it is super rigid. It holds my mic wonderfully. There is no drooping or slowly go to a rest position like I got with the other mic stands in the past. It can move around with ease but still maintaining the position of the mic. I use this for work and I am super happy about it. If I was going to be a tiny bit critical. The mic holder that comes with this did not work with my mic. Thankfully I had one from a previous mic stand that worked great. Keep in mind this is not a long mic stand at all. So if you need something to go across your desk you may be disappointed with this one.

The media could not be loaded. I am very happy with this mic stand, I am a singer-songwriter and I do a lot of live streaming and I was looking for a versatile mic stand where I can just clamp it and put my mic on. I also like camping, and next time we camp, I'll bring this stand and will do a live streaming☺️. The clamp, the goose neck are made of solid metal, my shock mount (not included in the box) and my mic is kinda heavy and this stand holds it up with no problems. You can adjust the goose neck for your desired position. I think the price is just right for this solid product👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽. Thanks much Zealsound!

It’s not quite as flexible as I expected. However, when you do bend/manipulate its shape, it holds up very well. Clearly very durable in its design, plus very simple and easy to install. Overall, I’m very pleased with this product.

Just what I needed. The gooseneck is quite stiff, not easy to change around often, if that's your need. But the flip side of its stiffness is that is very stable once I have it where I want it (which of course you can do, just takes a little effort). And the addition of the ⅜ to ⅝ mic adapter is great, as I changed it to ⅝ to better fit the holder I already had for my Shure SM58.

It's smaller than you'd expect, even though the description is accurate. But being for a dynamic mic you need it pretty close to your face anyway, so keeping a shorter arm for it has worked out for me. The adapter at the end can be swapped out for a condenser mic as well and that's been useful when I've wanted to (or needed to) change it up. If your setup has you recording in a way that you want that mic close this is the way to go. I've also used the boom arm setup for when I need more space in front of me, but love having this as an alternative.

Words! They MEAN stuff! Like when you say a gooseneck has a "heavy duty" desk clamp... I guess my definition of "heavy" is different from ZealSound's because the clamp on this thing sucks. To be fair, the gooseneck is pretty wimpy as well, but the camp is the thing I have the biggest problem with. Even tightened, this thing has some wobble. And that flat part on top of the screw part? Yeah, that broke off on my second use. I don't think I should have to gaff something that new back together, y'know? So yeah, if you're looking for an ACTUAL "heavy duty" mic gooseneck with desk clamp... keep lookin', this one ain't it. If you're looking for a dainty little light-duty one, though: THIS IS IT!

Overall build quality of this kit is good - nice, heavy metal, and well finished. The mounting bracket works well, but it's large enough that I've found I want to position it to the side of my desk to keep my knees from smacking it. For that reason, I could have used a few more inches on the boom to help with positioning. The boom itself is sturdy -- stiff, in fact. The only bit that's been tricky to work around are the connections of the boom to base and mic to boom. Since there's no swivel built in, these connections are either tight or loose, so any position adjustments that include swiveling at these connections can be challenging. Overall, a good-quality product at this price.
