Let me list positive and and negatives first. Then I'll go into detail Positives: despite the lower price, this controller is great quality. It came in an aesthetically pleasing box. And used foam to keep it safe during shipping. Plug and play. The size is good. Fits just right into my hands. Comfortable analogs. And feels well made. Negatives. It takes some getting used to not having pressurized triggers. It uses click triggers instead of the common pressured triggars. The LED light in the middle is annoying in a darkened room. (Just taped over it with some cut duct tape) Neutral(not good or bad) cord length is what you expect for a pc based product. It is about half as long as a xbox 360 cord. So if you are looking for something for console. This may not be for you. I'm using it for laptop/pc so cord length is not something I care about. Now for a detailed review. This controller preforms and feels just as mainstream and name brand as sony duelshock and Microsoft xbox controllers. As with any controller just plug it in and drivers will install. Let me start off by saying that I came to this controller because duelshock Sony controller analogs always became loose after use. And Microsoft xbox controller analogs squwaked all the time. (And Microsoft analogs use rubber which can make your fingertips feel uncomfortable with constant rubbing) I have not had any of the issues listed with this controller. It came in perfect condition. As I said it takes getting used to the trigger buttons because they are essentially the same as "bumper" buttons. None of my buttons stick or get stuck, and they all work fine. The controller does not have rubber grips, which makes it a bonus to me because rubber tends to wear and eventually feel rough on the skin. The controller seems as durable as name brand console controllers, I've never abused my electronics so I'm not an expert. ( I wouldn't go throwing it at the floor or walls) The plastic does not seem cheap at all. It definitely doesn't feel like some crappy third partY knockoff you would expect for a low price like this. I've had no connection issues at all. Through and through I feel this controller is definitely worth getting if you're sick of Microsoft or Sony extorting your money for less than satisfactory quality work.

This is a very nice looking controller. The super smooth and click "finish" on it seems a little prone to blisters and "dull spots" with heavy wear, but I don't intend to play many games where there are "rapid fire" type situations. I have been trying to go through all the old school RPG games from the 80s, 90s and early 2000s that are playable on PC (somehow). After trying to get through the Squaresoft/Square-Enix games on PSx using only a keyboard and mouse, I broke down and got this controller. I have only briefly played with it after "customizing" the button configurations and found it FAR better than my previous USB SNES style controller from over a decade ago before it died. For some reason I wasn't able to get the shock/vibration feature to work correctly, nor does it state anywhere in the description of this product that the small "vibration motors" are even present in this device, but others have commented that it DOES have this feature so I will continue to play around with settings and see. It's not a huge deal if it doesn't, but it does add something to the quality of the game play experience. The "center button" seems to do some pretty neat things like bring up options to record your game play "on-the-fly" (which I will probably never actually use) and other interesting things that might be handy if you are a YouTuber with a gaming channel or something like that. I am not a hardcore gamer (since I'm not 13 anymore) and I don't need (nor want to spend the big bucks on) the most awesome and amazing gaming gear EVAAAAAAR, so this controller is very ideal for me. The first few dozen times trying out every button when I first took the controller out of the box seemed a little "sticky". After just 15-20 minutes of use I feel them already loosening up a little with easier "action". The overall "feel" of this controller is very rigid so it is probably tough enough to survive falling out of a moving box or laptop bag with only a few scrapes, but probably not durable enough to survive getting ran over by a car (or a hot-headed player that is a sore loser). It seems to work perfectly with older Console Emulators and the only thing "missing" from the old school gaming days is the "underneath trigger" and perhaps a "Turbo Switch". I will likely update my review later if I run into issues like not being able to figure out the shock/vibration feedback, flaky operation or loss of functionality, but for the time being, I feel this product is closer to a 4.6/5.0 given the great value (I paid about $20 for this one in 2017) of a versatile controller that works on my Windows PC and reminds me of being a teenager again. I will round up to 5 stars.

Having used the Buffalo iBuffalo Classic USB Gamepad for PC BSGP815GY for about a year now, I was expecting a similar build quality for the ZD-V, but where the iBuffalo felt like a slightly below average Nintendo controller, the ZD-V has a substantial quality feel to it. Pros • Windows 10 Plug and Play detected the ZD-V controller right away. • Buttons have a great tactile feel to them; great response, and no squishy feelings. Cons • The triggers buttons (L2 & R2) take a bit of finesse to register a complete press. Calibrating the controller within my OS failed to correct this problem. My Z Axis registers at 73% (32768) by default, 60% (27139) when the bottom of R2 is squeezed, and 0% (128) when the top of R2 is squeezed hard; 82% (36992) when the bottom of L2 is squeezed, and 146% (65408) when the top of L2 is squeezed hard. • My "V key" toggle-button, used to switch the controllers software between XInput and DirectInput seems to have an in between step. When the V key is long pressed, as instructed within the user manual, my controller does software switch from XInput to DirectInput mode, but both LEDs illuminate. Long pressing again maintains the controller in DirectInput mode, but this time correctly deactivates the blue LED indicating XInput mode is active. Neutral thoughts • The ZD-V has a slight weight to it, but not so heavy I've noticed any hand fatigue from extended play sessions. • My left stick has a minor range of dead zone in the extreme top-left and top-right directions, as expected of most PlayStation type controllers. • The indicator LED is very bright, and can be distracting. In conclusion, the ZD-V+ controller is a great controller for the price with an excellent build quality which suffers slightly from subpar internal hardware. Would I buy the controller again? Absolutely. Would I suggest the controller to a friend? Depending on their specific use, certainly.

My boy's review (8yr): This controller is amazing! I was a little nervous buying it but when I got it and tried It I was like WHOA! It is such a good controller! I will say I wish it did have a reset and turbo button and I don't remember ever testing the vibration but otherwise I love it! PS: I have tested it on minecraft Windows 10 And It Worked Perfectly! *EDIT* It's about a year and a half later, and although we are super careful of it and only use it a couple hours a week, we have started noticing that the controller has begun to show some deterioration in terms of response time, and sometimes does not respond at all. When this happens, we can sometimes unplug the controller and plug it back in, but regardless of the gaming system we're using it with, it seems to be gradually overcome by some kind of technological dementia. Cosmetically, this controller appears flawless, but as I said, we take really good care of our stuff (this item especially because my son used his hard-earned chore money ($23 at the time) to buy it after days of research). The amount of use and care we give doesn't seem commensurate to aging at this rate. If you decide to purchase this controller (it is a very nice item otherwise), be sure you are familiar with the warranty conditions.

Ok, so I was on the fence about this product for a really long time. I Prefer this Playstation style layout over the Xbox360 style layout (Zhidong N Full Vibration Feedback USB Wired Controller Gamepad Joystick For Windows XP/7/8/8.1/10 & Android & PS3 (Xbox360 Style) Black&Red - Not support the Xbox 360) and this one was about five bucks cheaper. Considering the price point, this controller absolutely rocks. Very affordable, feels good in my hands, buttons are responsive, not too heavy or light. The ability to manually swap functionality from the D-Pad to the Left stick is also incredible. The only real drag about it at face value is it has a very short wire. I had been putting off reviewing this controller, however, because i wasn't sure for sure, but i thought i may have been experiencing something weird about it, but i wanted to give it a lot more playtime to be absolutely sure. After a few months of constant use, I'm very sure this is happening! Very infrequently, I'll be pushing the RIGHT D-Pad button, and it will trigger as though i pressed L1(the Left Bumper). Not sure how this could be a thing, but it's happened probably a consistent 10% of the time. Not usually a deal breaker, but SOMETIMES it absolutely destroys what i'm trying to do, in game. Also, the right button on the face of the pad (The B button, or the circle button for you PS heads) needs a bit more pressure than the others. I'll be holding it without waver and suddenly i'll notice the character on the screen has stopped doing whatever that button is supposed to command until i press a little harder. As a result of these two things, the controller isn't perfect and sometimes leaves my thumbs a little sore because i find myself pressing harder than i should to make sure they work. If it weren't for those two issues, this would definitely be a five star controller.

one of the nicest cheap controllers i've owned!! Pros: works with every game i've tried so far (binding of isaac: afterbirth, bionic commando rearmed, shovel knight, axiom verge, great with emulators) lots of games that have preconfigured xbox controller settings immediately work with this controller great price vibration feature actually works pressure sensitive trigger/shoulder buttons cons: feels cheap (light plastic feel) stiff buttons (breaking them in is needed) usb cord is rather short (about 4ft long) For the price i paid, this controller is AWESOME!! its works with every game i've tried so far. haven't tried brutal doom yet but don't see y it wouldn't work. item came in its own product box, with manual, no software needed for me just plug n play. i read lots of people having difficulty with it. to swap d-pad and joystick controls u hold down the back button and the left joystick button, same to switch back. games that don't have controller configuration u usually just go into the games settings and set them up urself. games that don't allow controller setup (flash games, old pc games, etc) u may need a 3rd party app like key2map or xpadder to bind keyboard keys to the controller. haven't had any problems setting it up for emulators at all. games that r ports from xbox seem to all have preconfigured controller settings, so they just start right up. the only thing i really dislike about this controller is the feel. its really light, like a cheap toy. playstation controllers have that sturdy weight to them, they feel good to hold. this controller is comfortable in your hands, but the light plastic feel just bothers me. the buttons r also pretty stiff. none of them have been sticking at all for me, just feel tight to push. i tried playing volgaar the viking which surprised me when the vibration feature actually worked. ive had controllers before with this feature but never did it work with any game i tried. the vibration is on the weak side, but its not a big feature to me, i usually turn it off anyway. what i didn't expect were the trigger buttons to be pressure sensitive, not sure how many games implement this but in axiom verge the drill wouldn't fully extend and spun slow, the tighter i pressed down the faster itd go and more itd extend. overall the product is really nice. looks nice, works great, no trouble on my end. nice controller for the price. would recommend getting if your on the cheap side.

I've bought two. They both failed to similar issues in not that many hours of use. [less than 200hrs each]. The first got slightly abused via a pet, juice, and baking soda incident involving gravity. Both Newton and Rube Goldberg would be pleased. I had it for a few years but barely used it. I gave it the benefit of a doubt and bought another. The left stick started pulling to the left and would make my New Vegas Character turn slowly while idle. The new one that I have only had five months and sat idle for three of those, has developed issues with the back button [or "select" as my old brain wants to call it. lol] It either won't trigger or won't stop once it starts. So save your money, go elsewhere. Also, just as an aside, I'm going to stop buying things with thousands of reviews. I have problems believing that 6k+ of these have been sold... how many people actually post a review of what they bought, so amazon is telling me that 10s of thousands of folks have this controller and are using it?

My pc thinks its an Xbox controller amd ut works perfect with every game. I even use it to emulate old retro games when im in the mood. To use it as a ps5 controller on your pc you can download a program called DS4 for windows or something like that. Great price, great controller. Currently playing Claire Obscure 33 and It runs like butter.
