This really wasn't what I was looking for, but I really like it anyways. I put my straightening iron on it in the morning while it is heating and the silcon keeps the iron from sliding off my sink. I received this in good time. I wanted a smaller heat resistant pouch for a smaller flat iron I purchased. This is a perfect size for a smaller flat iron. When in use, it sits flat, no slip, I have no worries that anything will fall off. When the iron is cool, the pouch is big enough for the cord to fit inside also, but if I cannot wait for it to cool, the silicone pouch protects from the heat. Good product. ... show more

I love love LOVE this product! I usually straighten my hair in the bathroom and this protects my counter top from being damaged. It also prevents my curling iron from rolling off of the counter! Which always happened to me before I bought this. Sometimes, I curl my hair in front of my floor-length mirror and sit on the floor. My floor is carpeted, and this product keeps my carpet from getting burned! (My curler goes up to 450 degrees). When I move the mat, the carpet feels warm, but not hot. Exactly what I was looking for ! It’s on the small side if you use multiple tools at once, but I love that it’s a pocket. My InStyler also fits in perfectly which I was worried about since it’s a little bigger than the average straightener.

This is a Great Heat-Resistant Mat and Pouch !!! I can lay my hot roller brush down on it and not worry about burning my bathroom counter top, or put my hot roller brush inside of it after using & unplugging & not worry about burning my bathroom counter top. This only costs a few dollars and worth every penny ! [ I looked at the heat-resistant pouch that hangs down from your bathroom counter, like a holster, for hot hair tools, which costs a bit more, but there is no room for that on my bathroom vanity, so I chose this mat, which is cheaper anyway ]. A couple months ago, my curling iron slipped off the counter and dented my trash can lid. I realized that I needed more stability than the heat sleeve provided. This product is it. I like that it is a sleeve as well to give extra protection from a hot iron when I travel or need to put my iron away while it’s still hot. I’ll probably buy a second one for my clothes iron. Could also use it to stabilize a hot glue gun, etc.....many uses....great price ... show more
