The media could not be loaded. Amazon Vine customer review of free product I really love this as a real-flame alternative for my fireplace. It looks convincingly cozy and adds beautiful ambience. I also like that you can run the visuals with no heat, so it works year-round just for mood lighting. When you do want warmth, it functions like a space heater with low 750W / high 1500W settings (about 5100 BTU). The fan pushes heat into the room well for its size. Visual controls are flexible and separate: Ember/log glow brightness: 5 levels from soft to bright. Flame effect speed: 5 settings from slow flicker to lively. Controls are straightforward—use the remote or the side panel to change heat, flame, and brightness. When I first unpacked it, I didn’t realize there was a remote and wondered how I’d reach the side panel once it was in the fireplace/enclosure. But there is a full-function remote, and it works well even from a moderate distance. Like any space heater, there’s a built-in overheat shutoff. Note that the freestanding insert is about 20.5" W x 11.5" H x 8.6" D, not huge, and it slips into many openings; the leaf-motif front dresses it up. Insert it and set it close to the front of your opening so the flames projected on the back have a better angle to project onto. I’m placing it inside a wood-burning fireplace as a simple and practical way to have the fire effect on demand, year-round. But it’s also great for homes without a working gas or wood fireplace—make a small alcove, plug it in, and you’ve got the look plus useful supplemental heat. This exceeded my expectations—five stars.

I have a fireplace. A real one. Using it involves wood, soot, the occasional panicked bird, and a lingering fear of burning my entire rickety house to the ground. It’s a whole production. This thing, though... this glorious box of lies... I just plopped it in the hearth, pressed a button, and suddenly my living room was bathed in the flickering, hypnotic glow of a cozy fire. Does it produce real flames? No. Does it produce a soul-soothing, bone-deep warmth and a flicker that you can adjust from 'gentle ember' to 'dramatic inferno'? Absolutely. It has all the psychological benefits of a real fire with none of the mess or mortal peril. It's a magnificent fraud. The remote control feels like wielding a magic wand for instant coziness.

I ordered this electric fireplace with the hopes of using it in our living room but I don't think we will use it in there. The problem I am having is that the fireplace looks cheap when its not lit; and not much better when its turned on. It looks to me like those old school fake fireplaces from the 60s and 70s, not even an attempt to realism. Once its turned on I will say that the light bouncing off of the back wall does look cool, in fact its the one saving grace for this fireplace. The lights look fairly real and in darker settings should look nice. The lights inside the fake wood look only ok and again, a lot like the old school ones. You can change some of the settings on the lighting and depending on your personal taste, you might find something you like better. At this price point I would just expect something that looks better both while turned off or on.

Nice fireplace. We wanted the look of a fireplace in our bedroom, and we really like this one. It was easy to install; my husband installed it in the bedroom, and it functions as described. Love that it doesn't make much noise when it's on. The remote works, and it has good temperature control as well. Pretty good quality product for us, we will recommend.

Picked this fireplace insert up to finish off a space and I like the overall look. The size works well for the spot I had in mind, and installation was straightforward. The flame effect looks decent for the price, and when I tested it the heater actually put out a good amount of warmth—enough that I know it’ll be useful once winter hits. My only hesitation is the logs: they’re very white, almost a little too stark compared to a real set. Not a dealbreaker, just something I notice every time I look at it. Otherwise, it feels solid, works as advertised, and should make the room much cozier once the weather cools down.

I recently purchased the ZAFRO 21 Inches Electric Fireplace Insert Log Heater, and I have to say, it's been a great addition to my living room. Setting it up was a breeze; I just plugged it in, and I was good to go. One of the best features is the remote control. I love being able to adjust the flame brightness and flicker speed without getting up from my comfy spot on the couch. With five different settings for each, you can really customize the ambiance. Whether I want a cozy glow or a more dramatic flame effect, it’s all at my fingertips. As for heating, it's impressive! I typically keep it on the 750w setting, which heats my space perfectly for those chilly evenings. If it gets really cold, I easily switch to the 1500w setting for a quick warm-up.
