my ASUS ROG Ally left thumbstick stopped working altogether. I tried repairing it and realized that it actually physically broke in the little housing that holds those little levers that send signal to the board. Buying these and replacing these myself was the smart thing to do and it was so easy. Thanks a ton, also has a second one that I have for backup.

I bought a used ROG Ally with a broken left stick, only registering up and down as reported by other Ally users. The right stick wasn’t broken but also didn’t feel as smooth as I liked, so I replaced them both at the same time. After recalibrating both sticks in Armory Crate, I can confirm they both work as good as new! Cheap and easy fix and the included tools were of nice enough quality that I’ll keep them around for any similar jobs.

Edit: after less than a day these sticks started drifting worse than the original one. I will be returning these, and I ordered some Hall sensor ones from handhelddiy Original review: This fixed my ROG Ally Z1 Extremes drifting right joystick, which either happened due to old age or because something spilled on it. Either way, this was a really quick < 10 minute job to replace and the stick no longer drifts (after calibration, it did before). Honestly I can't tell a huge difference between this stick and the left, which is the OEM original. The original may be a little looser or louder when snapping back, but its also heavily used and 2 years old. I am super happy with this especially for the money. I bought a 2 pack just in case one was no good.
