For years I had one of those hulking immersion blenders, just for the simple task of mixing protein powder into milk in a regular drinking glass. The device finally quit, so I started looking for another immersion blender. All of the current models had blender heads at least 2.5" in diameter, so they were too wide for the drinking glasses. And I wanted to blend the protein powder directly inside of the drinking glass. So I started looking into milk frothers. The first frothers I looked into all used AA batteries. I saw from the reviews that this was an issue, because the batteries had to be replace fairly frequently. Additionally, all of these frothers that I looked into had only one speed. I was about to give up, but decided to look into the rechargeable frothers. I found the YUSWKO device, and started reading the reviews and looking at the videos. The reviews would talk about how you had to be careful because even at low speed, the frother was really powerful. But otherwise the reviews were very positive about the device. And the videos were all very encouraging. So I got the device yesterday, and immediately charged it up until the green light turned on, and then my wife tried it out first. She was able to use it with whipping cream, and made whipped cream in one minute, just like in one of the videos. And then this morning I tried it for the first time with the protein powder, being extra careful because of some of the reviews. I had the drinking glass down in the sink as advised. I then tried it on low speed with the hook attachment. Whoever thinks the low speed is super powerful has never stuck an immersion blender into a drinking glass! The low speed is actually a low speed, and is perfect for blending protein powder, which blends easily. So use the hook attachment and low speed, and I assure you that it won't spray liquid all over the place! Lastly, I like the fact that with the hook attachment, after inserting the attachment, the rod is long enough so that I don't have to immerse any portion of the main device into the drinking glass. I also purchased the version with a stand, which I think is a better solution from a drying perspective. Another one of the little things in life that makes a difference! This product is amazing - works as advertised - the only reason I give it four instead of five is it works toooo well. Mixing a drink in a glass on low makes a mess. You have to turn on low for a second then off to not spin the liquid out of the glass.

I was reluctant to purchase this after the cheap one I bought from Target. I seriously went from a cheap fan to a jet. This does more than I ever dreamed. This gadget has so much power. A friend gacve me a little battery powered power wisk a decade ago and it gave up. I make my own mixes for cocoa for example that include organic cocoa powder, organics powdered whole milk and organic turbinado sugar. They all blend poorly in cold milk or water regardless of what their packaging says. This machine destroys them in hot or cold liquid and maks a magnificent cocoa or mocha. I mean truly amazing including instant whipped froth. I also use this for gravy's, whipping eggs and I have even started using it in my small bactch wine making. Want to oxygenate your must befor fermentation? This does an amazing job of blending and oxygenation. And the bonus is it is rechargable, so no more batteries for landfills or clumsy cords.     • This thing is too aggressive for just mixing coffee with creamer at home.

Mixer is too powerful for blending what we intend to use if for- which is just morning coffee and cocoa. Maybe that would be a perk for some? The power level selection buttons aren't "press" sensitive like you might expect, where if you take your finger off it will stop- and even on the lowest setting if you try to blend a normal cup of coffee half of it WILL end up on the floor. So, you turn it on by hard pressing the desired power level button and when you realize it's spinning to fast and about to slosh everything out, you can't simply just take your finger off. You have to hard press the button again and by then it's too late. Seems minor, but the difference in timing and/or the inability to just quickly power it ON/OFF to blend things more slowly make it useless when it spins that fast straight out the gate. Perhaps if you work in a coffee shop and will be using a very deep steaming container, maybe? Even then, better hope the milk isn't scalding. ... show more
