I purchased three of these safes—one for each of my children to keep in their bedrooms—and overall, I’m very happy with them. I would definitely describe these as “small but mighty,” because while they are compact in size, they actually do a really nice job for what we needed. First, I want to talk about the size, because that’s probably the most important thing to understand before buying. These safes are not large at all. If you’re looking for something to store bigger items, important documents, or anything bulky, this is not going to meet your needs. However, for smaller personal items, they work perfectly. Each of my kids is able to store things like their cell phone, a few small valuables, some cash, and little personal items they want to keep private and safe. For that purpose, the size is actually ideal. I really like that these give my kids a sense of responsibility and ownership over their belongings. It’s been a great way for them to have their own little secure space in their rooms. They enjoy having something that feels “official” and safe, and as a parent, I like knowing they have a designated place to keep their important items instead of things getting lost around the house. Despite being small, the safes feel pretty solid for everyday use. They’re not super heavy-duty or anything you’d compare to a large, high-security safe, but for kids’ rooms and basic storage, they do the job well. They open and close easily, and we haven’t had any issues with functionality so far. Another positive is that they’re easy to set up and start using. I didn’t have to spend a lot of time figuring anything out, which is always a win. For something like this, simple is better, especially when kids are the ones using it daily. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is, again, because of the size. While it works for our needs, I do wish it was just a little bit bigger to allow for a bit more storage flexibility. It would be nice if it could hold a few more items without feeling cramped. But at the same time, I understand that it’s designed to be compact and easy to fit in smaller spaces like a bedroom shelf or closet. Overall, I think these safes are a great option if you’re looking for something small, simple, and functional—especially for kids or light use. They’re not meant for heavy-duty security or large storage, but they absolutely serve their purpose. I’m glad I purchased them, and my kids are really happy to have their own little safes. If you go into this purchase understanding the size limitations, you’ll likely be pleased with what you get.

Wow this is cheap. I just have to say it off the bat- I think this is meant for a kid to keep his baseball card collection in rather than an adult with passports and jewelry. It's so thin. That door is nothing. If someone wanted to break into it, it wouldn't take much. A crowbar or hammer even. It just doesn't feel "safe". It's not terribly large but will handle passports and money and jewelry. It comes with two screws/lag bolts - there are two holes in the back of the safe. It comes with two keys which is nice - I am never getting some digital or fingerprint safe - what happens when the batteries die? So, for an adult, no. For a kid, sure.
