Can't get much easier than this. Open the bottom part up and put the lid on and you have a surprisingly sturdy ottoman. The beige linen looks like a much more expensive ottoman and it holds plenty of books and a blanket out of sight.

I bought this because I love recliners, but stopped using them because they seem unsafe to me with small animals around. This is the only ottoman I found with the width and height of a recliner's leg rest. It's incredibly comfortable to stretch my legs out whether I'm in an office chair or an arm chair. I will say that where it lacks a bit is in sturdiness. It never threatened to collapse, but the padding gradually left on the top and decorative threads were rubbed away/buttons coming loose after 2 years. I just bought a replacement, though, so I guess 2 years for something I use day in day out for 2 years is pretty good! ... show more

You get what you pay for here. Very light, good for feet, but not very sturdy as a bench. Handles my 200 pounds ok. The fabric is thin and lasted 20 minutes with our puppy, but we bought this cheap Ottoman anticipating it would be damaged while our puppy grows through its chewing stage. For pet free dwellings this is a good starter piece of furniture but would be surprised if it lasted more than a year or two. Overall a good value. ... show more
