Good, sturdy hardshell, clamshell case. I have a pair of quite pricy condenser microphones, that I use as overheads on my drum set, and surprisingly, they only came with a closed cell foam insert in a cardboard box. As you can see from the photo, my two mics fit perfectly in one side of the case, when positioned in a 'Yin-Yang' arrangement. The other side can be used for spare mic clips, plug-in mic preamps, etc. Now, my mics are protected, have easy access, and the case fits easily in my gig bag for transport. Obviously, this would work great for a single, standard-sized vocal mic......for which it is actually intended. Inexpensive insurance for your microphones(s). ... show more

The microphone that I got this Yoteso Hard Carrying Travel Case is slightly smaller than the case itself, so to keep it from moving around too much inside, I put the sponge windscreen on it, which acts like shipping cushioning. The case is a molded hard case; it is a synthetic (nylon?, polyester?) material over what seems to be a plastic layer underneath. The inside has a soft material so it won't scratch your mic but not too much cushioning. For the price it's something to protect your mic with, but it's not the be-all-end-all in microphone protection. But at this price, you really can't expect that. ... show more
