Had a bit of an experience with this tongue jack. My 17 year old son, who claims to be mechanically inclined, asked if he could do the honors of installing the jack on our trailer. I said, sure, have at it. It's a simple operation, minimal tools required and just a tad bit of patience would help, too. Well, he the took the jack outside to install and I continued working on a project I was invested in. About an hour later I hear this noise out front that sounded like a really pissed off person screaming and calling my trailer all kinds of nasty things. So....took a walk out front to see whatup, and sure enough, he couldn't get the jack to fit the trailer frame. The frame is 4" deep and the jack was 3.5", so, naturally, it ain't gonna fit. But, with his mechanical ability he was gonna make it fit. Well, he did succeed, it finally fit after bending this and that. However, the swivel jack stand was jammed so bad it would not retract and I told him to take it off and let's look at it. A short look told me it's deformed from his over tightening bolts and therefore, damaged and not returnable. Long story short, we just tossed it in the trash, learned a lesson, and moved on. However, I do want to emphasize the quality of this jack is remarkably strong. Had my trailer tongue been 3.5", I'd be home free and a happy camper, so please don't view my review as a negative, the jack was designed to do a job, and my son tried to make it do something it wasn't designed to do. This item is a single wheel only and not the double wheel that is in the icon picture. The box it comes in was seperated at the seams and if it wasn't in the internal bag I could had lost something but luckily I didn't. The box was thin material and cheap glue where they connected. Company should invest in a better shipping box. Item itself was made from heavy metal or thick metal but tire was cheap plastic but easy to change out to a store bought landing pad one..
