Description

Product Specifications Why a Jack Plate? A jack plate will compensate for a long shaft engine! Does Your Boat Need a Jack plate? For this one, we consulted our network of industry professionals. Their responses were all varying degrees of a resounding YES. But how can you tell if your boat would benefit from a jack plate? What are some of the symptoms? Poor Holeshot Your outboard’s not perpendicular (straight up & down) in relation to the water at top speed. If you can trim the engine all the way up without the prop letting go or with no appreciable loss of water pressure at full throttle. The hull doesn’t seem to “lift” like it should. Boats rigged with jack plates, but otherwise identical to yours, turn higher-pitch props and perform better keep in mind that these characteristics can also be indications of other, more serious problems, but if you’re experiencing any or all of the above, your boat could be a good candidate for a jackplate implant. Jack Plates are the perfect solution for long shaft engines with a short shaft transom! The engine side holes of the Jack Plate are drilled 1.500 inches higher than the transom side. Combined with the 6 inches of adjustable vertical lift you can obtain 5.500 inches at a maximum height to raise your long shaft engine and make it workable on a short shaft transom boat! Here are the pre-drilled hole dimensions listed below in inches: Pre-drilled holes for 1/2'' stainless hardware 12 7/8'' across the top two holes from center to center 9 7/8'' across the bottom two holes from center to center 8'' of vertical distance between the top holes and bottom mounting holes If your holes do not match this configuration, you can drill into the aluminum plate. However, by modifying the unit returns will not be accepted.

  • Good with a 115 ProXS Good with a 115 ProXS
I have this on a Tracker Pro Team with a Mercury 115 PRO XS 4s and have had ZERO issues. It's strong, and works amazingly.

  • Excellent jackplate
I put this jackplate on my Tracker 1860 with a longtail 40hp Mercury 4 stroke. With it elevated all the way 5-1/2” not actually a 6” lift but it put the cavitation plate exactly where it needed to be with the bottom of the boat. Works excellent for the boat to run in way shallower water. Had a small issue with it and manufacture stood behind their item and replaced a bolt that had broken for free. If your going to fish the Colorado river in Texas you’ll be definitely needing one of these jackplates to run the shallows with. Best purchase made for my boat since buying the boat. The 8” lift wasn’t available when I purchased mine but would definitely buy the 8” over the 6” for the little extra lift. 100% satisfied with the purchase and seller. ... show more

  • Double check bolts!
I read a review and guy said to check the 4 bolts that hole the plate together cuz his was loose, I had to tighten the ones on this plate so be advised check them! Other than that it mounted up fine but doesn’t slide very well, may have to split the two parts and lube the slide part.

  • Solid built jack plate
It is heavy duty for my 40hp Nissan NS40C . I had to drill some holes to mount my motor, that is kinda to be expected on an universal mount. Looks good, motor runs good, helped pick up some speed on my test runs.

  • Junk
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I attempted to adjust the jack plate before installing it. The aluminum adjustbnut stripped. There is no way to adjust it while the motor is mounted. Junk.

Put a 150 merc on a 17ft Lund and got 6.5 inches of lift on the bottom bolt hole(on the motor) all I did was take a step bit to it and made the side bolt holes bigger for the .5 inch but it works good don’t listen to the other whiny people they expect plug and play when it comes to boats.
