I lost my stand mixer somewhere over the years in a move, divorce, or some other life change. I didn't want to take up valuable counter real estate as I live in a small home, and it is just my husband and I these days, so I don't need a heavy duty large stand mixer like I did when my children were at home and I was cooking and baking for 5. After reading tons of reviews, and tons of research, I settled on this mixer because for the price point, it had the features I wanted, and seemed fairly well reviewed compared to similar models in the same price range. I was concerned it would not be powerful enough to really whip things, or that it would quickly overwork it if I used it for anything of much substance but I have been pleasantly surprised so far with this mixer, and it has adequately done any job I have given it, from whipped potatoes, cookie dough, cake batter, and whipped cream. I love that it has a container that holds the different beaters (has dough hooks, regular beaters, as well as a whisk) so no more wandering attachments, and also holds the cord so that everything neatly stays in the storage case on the bottom of the mixer to save space and protect everything. I have not tried it, but I have read some people also use the storage container to measure ingredients as well, but not sure how this works for this item as I do not see measurement marks. I like the touch button speed adjustment and turbo features. I would recommend this for anyone who needs a moderate use space saving mixer. It works well and so far holds up great. My specialty is cheesecake and you might be surprised how many I end up making throughout the year. You checked on our cats while we were out of town? Cheesecake. Flying to visit my parents? Laptop, shoes and cheesecake through the x-ray. Christmas with the in-laws? Big family, two cheesecakes. Trying to indoctrinate new followers? Let cheesecake be their first step on the path to enlightenment. It's George Orwell's "1984"? Big Brother is watching you eat cheesecake. Marie Antoinette would still be alive if only she'd said, "Let them eat cheesecake." I think you get the idea. But to make all these cheesecakes, each time I would have to hoist the boat anchor that is our KitchenAid stand-mixer onto the counter - passing out ear plugs to my husband and the cats in preparation for the sounds of industrial revolution in our kitchen - resigned to later exhaustion scrubbing out the Stanley Cup of mixing bowls. This was unsustainable. Something had to change, and it wasn't going to be the number of cheesecakes. I needed a hand-mixer. It had to be affordable but not flimsy and with limited counter space, it needed to be compact - something I could just reach over and grab. After a thorough search and much due diligence, I found the subject of today's glowing recommendation. Perfectly-priced, well-reviewed, and quite the looker (we can say it doesn't matter but all things being equal, aww look how cute it is!), this hand-mixer has the compact size I require while offering up a benefit I didn't even know I needed: built-in storage for the beaters! No more digging through drawers or cabinets, no more dead-lifting the world's wonkiest shape with the density of a bowling ball. All that was left, was to put it to THE test: Mashed potatoes. I'm kidding, I made a cheesecake. Firstly -- ermarged it's just so CUTE. Okay okay, so I absolutely love the digital read-out - it's just another feature I didn't know I wanted. I like that you can adjust the speed before turning on the beaters. Admittedly, I haven't cranked it up to 11 (there's only 9 settings, but you get my point) or used the Turbo button because unavoidably, higher speeds will do my hands in pretty quick and I don't see myself needing to beat anything at mach 5, besides maybe an intruder coming for my infamous cheesecake. (They can wait until it's ready like everyone else!) Having said that, the width of the handle is uniform so you can choke up on it without feeling like you're fighting to hold onto it. It's quite comfortable, especially for something like cheesecake batter which can take a bit to come together when there's 32oz of cream cheese to power through. And a special shout-out to the boxy shape and weight distribution, making it possible to set the mixer safely on its...uh...butt?...between rounds of beating without it succumbing to Heisenberg's uncertainty principle while I'm trying to add ingredients. Cleaning is an absolute breeze - just wash the beaters, towel them off and back in their little compartment they go. It's like they're staying at one of those Japanese capsule hotels - adorable! Its kitchen footprint - or lack thereof - really can't be overstated. Well, it can be but it's understated and that's the point. It wasn't so much finding a place for it as, "oh, it can just stay right there" and with limited counter space it's like getting the line block in Tetris just as your head's about to disappear beneath a stack of L- and Z-shaped appliances. Nothing in this world is truly perfect (except for my cheesecake), but this hand-mixer gets 5s all around because we live in an imperfect system and within such a system, this hand-mixer is perfect for me. ... show more

I purchased this hand mixer based on the reviews that I had read on Amazon. However, I was a skeptical as to whether my experience would be similar to the favorable reviews! I have used the mixer on several occasions now and I can say, "where have you been?" This little mixer is more like a little giant because it does everything, and more than some of the big named brands do, but at a great price. I am very impressed with the slow start feature and how the mixer retains the setting you are using when you stop it. That is such a great feature when all you want is to stop and check, and then be able to pick up right where you left off at! Fantastico! Also, I noticed that several reviews mentioned that the mixer does not fit snugly in the receptacle that holds the accessories. However, that is not true, as it firmly fits as tight as a bug in a rug when you place it in correctly. I would definitely buy this again and can highly recommend it very enthusiastically! ... show more

This is a very light, very powerful mixer! I am amazed at how quickly it whips cream, mixes small batches of batter. I find it easy to use, easy to clean, easy to hold. The storage box is very convient, make sure the cord and beaters are low in the box, insert the back of the mixer into the clips then press the front down. It fits great. I replaced a Krupps and and unbelievably happy! It is also much prettier than in the picture, much more streamlined looking. I bought the Ice blue. I make a lot of frostings and muffins. Great for cream cheese and butter blending. I put my hand between the handle and grip the body of the mixer. I could hold this all day!😁 ... show more

I love this! My old mixer purchased from Costco went from chaotic to intense. This mixer actually has more of a gentle start. Liquids aren’t splashing all over the place, and it’s not sending up choking clouds of flour either. I love it.
