We bought this pavilion to be a place for shaded seating for my daughter’s graduation party and also to provide an outdoor space with mosquito netting afterwards. Installation was not easy. We did receive a damaged piece that the manufacturer was very responsive about replacing quickly (we have 3 extra pillars as a result), but unfortunately, my expected helper for installation got injured in the week it took to get the part. As a result, I needed to have my wife and two daughters help with the installation, and believe me, we needed every body we could get. The first big hurdle is attaching the pillars to the top rectangle which was an hour job, and the included tools are not very helpful. I ended up using a combination of a drill/driver with a hex bit and a palm sized ratcheting piece that held the same bit to get into the hard-to-get to places. You find yourself getting things loosely attached, then making the rounds of each corner to tighten it incrementally. Getting the roof frame on to wasn’t too bad, but the roof tiles were another story. They would not stay in the grooves— you have to be very precise in attaching them to the flat pieces of the frame. Then to seal them in, I needed to bring in a set of clamps to hold the end pieces in place while securing them to the main assembly. Even with the clamps and the extra hands, not all the pieces would line up enough to be bolted together. I eventually had to use a drill bit to widen the hole on a couple of pieces to get them to accommodate the bolt needed to finish it. However, now that it’s done. We are really happy with it. We were able to attach an LED lighting kit with 2 lights and a solar panel for dusk to dawn lights inside the pavilion which really made it more usable. I wish the mosquito net strings were a little bit longer— I can’t anchor them to the pillars if I want to seal the zippers all the way. But the most important task it handles brilliantly— we’ve had a couple of strong storms and the roof and curtains have kept the water out without damage to the roof and without the patio furniture inside getting drenched. It appears to be really durable, and it gets used every evening. ... show more

I absolutely love this gazebo but a few things I must mention.. the zippers fly off if it’s windy so you have to tie the curtains up. Also the little hangers that go into the legs (I’m sure that’s not what they are called) break easily. The other thing I’ve noticed after having it a year the roof panels have little tiny holes in them. Not enough for water to go through though. Just worried about the winter if they are going to split or crack the roofing panels. I already have to buy curtains for it because the sun bleached the ones that came with it. Other than that it’s been a life saver when it rains or during winter. I close the curtains and have my little propane heater running and it keeps you pretty warm. If you plan on purchasing this please make sure you have two people and a decent tool that you can work with to put it together. It takes at least 8 hours to assemble if you’re doing it right. ... show more

For the most part, putting together was straight forward. You don't need three people like it says but two would make it easier. For my part, I used an 8 foot ladder in place of a second person. Couple parts in the directions could be clearer but no major problems. I did add a long string of fairy lights for the evenings that really tops it off. All in all, I'm quite pleased with this purchase! Now I have to wait to see how it handles the rain and snow. ... show more

Friends and I put this together in one day - about 8 hours all up. There were some finicky bits but nothing outrageously hard. Definitely cannot be done by one person (unless you have very creative ways of propping up parts of the frame. All in all it seems sturdy. We haven't had the strong winds of early 2023 in the bay area yet, but I think it would have survived them. Lets see how this one goes. ... show more

The whole thing looks absolutely beautiful and pulls together the backyard oasis (now to buy fun furniture and hang lights)! We’ve had some tough storms and it has withstood high winds and being hit with branches. Assembly… not terrible if you have two people and TWO ladders (two ladders is the ticket). Definitely give yourself 6 to 9 hours from unboxing to finish (it was hot as blazes when we put it up so it took close to 8 hours for us due to taking several small breaks from the heat). ... show more

This kit is incredibly well engineered for assembly. PATIENCE is required. Don't rush any of the steps. Two people are needed for assembly, and at a couple of points a third person as well (for just minutes to hold onto a support.) There is an excellent YouTube assembly video that really makes the assembly process clear. We stopped and restarted it throughout the construction. Hopefully, the Gazebo will stand the test of time. As for right now, we're quite pleased and proud of ourselves for building it in about 8 hours, over 2 days. ... show more

Looks Great. Price was right. Putting it up and aligning the corners is an art. If the holes don't align at first keep trying they will eventually align. Finally figured out why a translucent roof. You can close the curtains and get naked in the hot tub. That's what I put it over.

Got this on sale and we are very happy with it so far. A couple panels were damaged in shipping but contacting customer service was a quick process and they sent replacements without a problem. Putting it together was a little tricky with the roof but a helper or some speed clamps makes it easy.
