The installation was as easy as shown in the instructions (and the video was helpful as well). The one thing I didn't catch from the instructions is that you control the right/left angle of the spray by lining up the slotted round inserts. If you don't get those evenly angled, the spray will shoot off center. Once that is lined up, and the bolts properly fastened, it doesn't seem to move (they provide rubber gasket-like things that keep it from slipping). The hose and hardware were a bit of a concern until I opened the box - I didn't want any leaks or cheap hoses bursting while I am away. But when I looked at the hardware they sent, it appears to be sturdy - alleviating my concerns. Everything fit well, and the installation still feels secure after a week. This is a simple bidet - there is no way to change the up-and-down angle of the nozzles - you have to adjust yourself. This is a bit of a skill to learn, different from the more expensive devices I've used before, but it is not difficult to learn. ... show more

    • It's a great starter Bidet but the controls make it difficult to use for some.

Another reviewer commented that the connectors they use aren't standard for US toilet bowls. As someone that over the years has replaced all of the hoses, the float mechanism, etc. a couple of times over the years with off the shelf ones from a local hardware or big-box store, ours connected without issue. It's worth noting that depending on when the house was built it may or may not use the same size connectors which may have a lot to do with their experience. As far as the bidet, it definitely does the job and provides an amazingly clean feeling. The installation for us was quick and easy. If the idea of using the cold water models vs. the heated ones is causing you not to get one, we can confidently say that you get used to the cold water about 3 seconds into the first use and from that point forward you don't even notice the difference. The problem with this bidet is the controls. Since the setting for off is in the center and you either rotate the knob to one side for your posterior or the other side to clean the anterior (female parts) it's sometimes a bit difficult to center it especially when someone inexperienced tries it. Something with a knob to select the amount of pressure and the body location you want to clean combined with an on/off switch or a button would work about 1000x better. Also as a warning since you'll inevitably want to show this to someone it will hit you right in the face with water if you aren't sitting on it. Overall it's nice and made us immediately both appreciate how nice a bidet can be and how much we now want one with an on/off button. The only reason not to get a bidet is the absolute CHORE it will become to clean up without one once you get used to it. Getting used to a bidet (to the point of you can’t imagine ever not having one) takes different amounts of time for different people, for me and my husband this was about half a day. We only use the rear wash as the front wash doesn’t seem to be any different other than the stream is suddenly harsh and kinda painful, whereas the other one is soft and comfortable. It’s still aiming in the same place though, so I don’t get it. Either way, I only really cared about the rear wash and this one does this comfortably. My husband installed the entire thing in under 20 minutes, it’s easy to use and figure out without any prior experience with one, it’s all self explanatory. The plastic parts that are affixed to the toilet are wider than my toilet base is and I don’t love the way that looks, but the benefits of the bidet much outweigh the annoyingness of a slightly off appearance with the back screw in connections ... show more

Just a heads up the bidet uses a 3/8 compression fitting and the connection fitting for the tank and for the intake of the water apparently isn't standard in the United States so you might have some issues installing the bidet yourself but if you happen to have the weird fitting size it shouldn't be an issue. I actually had to get a 3/8 compression t bracket for about $10 because apparently mine uses the standard 3/8 compression as well. It works pretty decent I had some issues setting it up before because you kind of have to sit at a perfect angle for it to work and even if you're at that perfect angle doesn't always get everything. But if you can get the right angle you sure can get everything takes about 5 minutes to get everything. It's pretty easy to install would definitely recommend this but also I would recommend turning your water pressure up as high as it goes just so it runs as smooth as possible ... show more

This is the BEST thing ever! How did I live so long without getting one of these!? It truly is refreshing and keeps you feeling clean. No more flushable wipes, you can spend a small fortune on those things. This was super easy to install, I did however have to purchase a new flexible hose to run from pipe out of wall to adapter for bidet- as mine was a plastic line that would not flex or bend to reach the adapter. Beyond that, it installed just like directional video. It doesn't raise the seat once attached, where it seats on to lid bolts is very slim. Can also be adjusted for fountains to be closer or farther away. Install time was about 25mins, but that was mainly the water lines and making sure they were attached and tightened properly for a no leak fit. Please note: this is NOT heated. The water comes directly from your line and this unit is non-motorized and non-electric. Therefore the rinse is cold water. That doesn't bother me, I find the sanitary factor to be more important. Has several settings/options with different amounts of pressure. It has been installed for about 4 days now and I've had no issues with it's performance or my satisfaction.
