The texture is deep, but my feet got used to the little ridges within a few minutes. It's much thicker than I expected and, in addition to being comfy for doing stuff in my kitchen, it keeps my feet off our cold floor - bonus! Wishing it was about 4 inches wider, but that's what I get for not reading the dimensions, lol. Totally keeping them anyway... did I mention they're comfy & cozy? Putting the smaller one in the bathroom! And the cats didn't come running when I opened the box, which means there's hardly any outgassing, which is nice. Only our resident plastic fiend was interested ... in the plastic bag, not the mats! :-) So much for my worry that they would get clawed up. I would recommend these mats! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Received this yesterday and I am so impressed with the quality! They are soft on your feet, easy to clean up since they are not cloth and non slip. The are a matte finish and the color is a deep gray. My pictures do not truly represent the color well. Is darker than appears in the pictures and very nice hue. I am happy at this point. First, I received this product for free in exchange for my review. That said, these mats are very nice. The cushion isn't as luxurious as the mat I bought from Costco, but since they don't carry that one anymore these are a great second choice. The design doesn'tbother my feet and it doesn't catch debris like I was afraid it would. I've had these for about a week and they clean up easily. The small mat does not lay completely flat yet due to being rolled up when shipped, but I can tell that it will. These kitchen mats are so much better than my old ones. First, let me say that this mat set arrived at lightning speed! It is a great size and color to match the space I need. It came rolled up and needed to be rolled out, but both the smell and the shape were just fine after a few hours of sitting out.
