This is my first weighted blanket, and at 15 lbs it was definitely heavier than I expected—my husband even joked it was like a “concrete wall” between us! The green is true to the pictures, which I love. I personally prefer something softer against my skin, so I layer this on top of my regular blankets. The weight is enough that you really have to focus on spreading it out before bed to get the best use, but it’s super cozy and definitely soothing. Sometimes it makes getting up after a nap a bit of a challenge! It stays cool at night, which is a huge plus for me. Washing it feels a bit daunting (thanks, dogs), and I’m glad I didn’t buy a cover because I’m terrible at putting those on. As a bonus, my Oura ring has been showing more deep sleep lately—could be a coincidence, but I like to think it’s the blanket helping. The weight is evenly distributed across my body with this blanket. It’s also big enough for my whole bed, and very soft. While I don’t find it to be particularly cooling, it is cooler than my other blankets. With a fan on I was able to sleep under the blanket in 80 degree weather. It is thinner than I expected, but that’s not an issue! It’s not bad quality thin, just thin for weight distribution and insulation. The blanket is well designed; the color is as advertised and effectively does the job of weighted blanket due to its heavy weight and comfortable drape. The only downside is sometimes it can get warm as it may not be breathable/ airy to allow breeze to pass through and also not an easy job to lauder/ wash and dry it due to its heavy weight.
