Wasn’t looking for much but this is a complete waste of money. Even in the 80s with direct sun the in/out lines feel about the same with no noticeable change. Can’t run the pump at night cause it walked make the pool cooler. Would have to put in a bypass valve. Which isn’t included. Pretty much the same temps as using a cover. Very easy to set up, just what I needed since CA has not been so hot this year. I have a 12ft above ground pool, this works well under the California sun.

Bought this solar heater to try to heat up our 12x24 above ground pool. I don’t have it connected to our pump and filter. Instead I bought a small fountain pump and hooked it to draw water from the fountain pump dropped in my pool. It exits through the included 3 ft hose into the pool. I only used it once. At 7 am on a sunny day, I turned it on. (Temp was 82). By 1pm the pool read 88. It was 87 that day. Maybe the 5 degree difference was the heater and the air temp. You can feel warmer water coming out of the heater. ... show more

The installation was easy and it doen't request a lots of constractions. The night of bay area are freaking cold, I ready need this heater to make my pool a liiter warmer

    • For a pool 12/24 you need like 6 of these
I got 2 of these and it does not heat the pool like I say I would need like 5 of them and they leak the connector are very poor

Affordable price comparing to other similar products. It takes awhile to setup the solar panel, but every step is solid clear on the user manual. Just follow the steps and it will work.

Beware using this product if you have a bottom intake, will drain it dry ( I was lucky had my lower intake closed ) — of course unit broke in the middle of the night, woke to pump sucking air and water down to bottom of upper skimmer— wish I could return, ( don’t trust products not to break again) didn’t notice a difference in the temperature of the water, but already recycled the boxes. 1k down the drain ( bought 4) ... show more
