I really like this hard top it tightens down nice not much water gets in. When the tailgate is locked, it automatically prevents access without needing any kind of key system or lock on the actual cover. There have been some rubber pieces on the corner that have I guess falling off for better words or forgot broken and I had to replace using some rubber foam. However, the top is firm and holds water out nicely. it’s definitely a good economical way to cover the bed and allows you many more options for the use of your truck if you’d like to store things or need to take a trip with luggage. ... show more

This was for a 2021 Toyota Tacoma 6-ft bed. Where do I start. With or without the weather seal there are large gaps on the left and right side no matter what you do on the side closest to the cab. I used the foam inserts that come with it to cover one of the holes on each side. However even after you do this there is a very large gap on each side. The reason for this is this top isn't wide enough so that the seals meet properly on each side of the Toyota Tacoma bed seal because it's slightly wider closer to the cab. This means that water will come pouring in as soon as it starts raining and I'm not quite sure what to do about it. Then there's the issue of quality. This thing has various scratches and imperfections all over it which is disappointing. Then there's the issue of it being secure. It's a very strange flimsy design. The lips on four of six of the clamps do not seem anywhere near as secure as they should be. No matter what you do the rail attachments that are designed for the Toyota Tacoma bed rail don't have a good enough system to secure themselves to the bed rail and therefore they bend upwards. This doesn't look secure at all. I messed with it a lot tightening it, untightening it moving it etc. It's working as designed, which isn't well. Then there's the issue of where it meets the bed door. Because of how it's designed to be secured to the truck, no amount of adjusting can make it so that the bed opens easily. I get that a weather seal is needed there, but it's hard to open and hard to close. All in all, this very obviously is not designed for a Toyota Tacoma, it's designed so that it works on as many trucks as possible without a dedicated design. There's no backup system to strap it down or anything like that for those of you that might be worried about securing it a little better than designed. And for a $500 product you think they take the time to do a short little video on how to install. The instructions are pretty looking but they're not useful. Oh no I'm very dissatisfied with this product. I'm stuck with it, it's not worth it to return because I need to use it for a trip I'm leaving for tomorrow. All in all this is not a terrible product but it's far from a good product. Update: first trip, 2 of the little bars that lock the latches came apart. I now have to rig it up to prevent failure at high speeds. Crazy. I regret this purchase. Update: less than 1 year later, the seatbelt style fasteners that you use to secure the cover together when folded up so that you can put things in the bed failed while driving. I almost got in an accident because the cover suddenly collapsed backwards. The other thing that happened last month was also when the cover was folded and secured, the right side fastener failed and came off. By the time I was able to pull over and check it, the other fastener coming off as well. When I say fastener I'm talking about the parts that secure to the rail system. You can put it back together but that doesn't help you if you're in an accident. This is an absolutely terrible dangerous product and I'm going to uninstall it. Didn't even last a year and it almost caused multiple accidents. ... show more

The Tacoma came with a rail system installed, so installation was under an hour. I have included pictures so understanding the install will make sense. I definitely used the foam included on the front of the cover. I drove in 8 hours of torrential downpours during a recent trip and there was no water in the bed of the truck. Bringing the cover off, or back 1/3 was really easy. I’m very happy with this product. Because of the Tacoma bed design, the cover looks a little weird. The Tacoma bed is not totally square. You will see in the pictures. The cover folded up great, it clamped down easily, and the quality of the product in my opinion is good. ... show more

Looks good, sturdy, and secure. Easy installation. Have had it four months (2.5 months in NC summer sun), and it has yet to loosen up on me. I wish it were about 1/2 inch longer, and wish it tapered with the bed versus being a true rectangle, but the difference is not really noticeable except when you first put it on. FYI, I have OCD (lol). Definitely worth the price. ... show more

It fits and feels solid for my 6ft bed 4th Gen Tacoma. Installation manual left me confused but still installed properly. Fitment of the latches is still questionable and hoping that they wont lead to damages. May be overthinking it a bit. Good buy otherwise.

Does not fit well for the 2026 Tacoma, it prevents the tailgate from automatically closing as well as the foam corners came off within the first couple days so water now gets in.
