Assembly: Instructions arrived in the last box, which came a few days after the first one. Attatching the back/side and feet require a hex wrench, included with the instructions. Each foot uses a long bolt, no washers. The back/sides each attach with four shorter bolts with a lock washer and flat washer. Comfort: these are firm. Be aware that you are getting basically padded storage ottomans with a backrest and back pillow. The round bolster shown is some other kind of fill that feels "crunchy", really only intended to act as a support for the back pillow as shown in the pictures. If you sit across the sections, you can feel the frame a little, which I found uncomfortable after a few minutes. When laying on my back, it was similar to a firm mattress; on my side, I could feel the frames at the section edges. Using the back cushions on top of the seats was comfortable when laying down, but their aren't enough to cover the whole set since they are full width but not square. Features: Every section has storage. None of the tops have springs. The arms/backs all have adjustable tilt, but be careful to use as a piece of furniture and not as sporting equipment - something seemed to give when I reclined one all the way (not flat) and leaned on it. Arms and back seem fine when mostly vertical; thin padding, but serviceable. Minus: no real guidance on how tight to make the bolts. The framing materials in cheaper furniture are often "engineered wood" that is basically sawdust held together by glue and pressed into flat boards. There isn't a clear point at which you can tell the bolts are fully seated - the effort just keeps going up gradually. I think one of the bolts stripped out the embedded retaining nut inside the back/arm. It is holding for now, but may require future repairs. ... show more

Negatives: you can't lay down comfortably. The back cushions constantly fall off. One of the arms literally broke 1 day after use. Positives: so much storage space. I would not recommend this couch. I purchased this couch for an apartment because it would be easy to get to the second floor. It was a pain to put together. The way they positioned the screws were so difficult. You can sit comfortably on the couch, until you get up and the back cushions falls forward and steals your seat. It's hard and you feel the frame no matter how you sit. It's hard to clean too. Very annoying Plus when I ordered this couch they delivered it to the completely wrong address (I've never had any issues with Amazon before this). They did give me a refund on the delivery cost but it was barely enough to rent a truck and move the couch to the correct address. ... show more

Nice couch at a reasonable price. Be sure to make time to put it together (it’s not quick). If you plan on using this as a bed or for a week long visitor this is not the couch for that.

I ended up keeping the item because I don’t even know why I ended up keeping it. Storage is AAA plus plus plus. Ever cube has storage. Comfort wise I would give it a C because these are cubes put together with the help of one of those things that you clip two of the cubes together with. It’s heavy duty clippy thing. So when you lay on it, definitely can feel where the joints are so you can’t really fall asleep on it. I have a 3 year old who will destroy anything more expensive than this so, I kept this for the storage convenience also. Would I recommend this to anybody. I would say from my point of view if I got it I’d keep it. But if I could go and re do, would I get this. Absolutely not. I hope the review help even though it’s a bit confusing. ... show more
