  • I adore my tent
Color: Beige Size: 4M/13FT
So, I absolutely adore this tent. While expensive compared to some tents, I bought this tent because I wanted something that was built to last. Canvas tents if taken care of can last you 15-30 years PLUS! To me this tent is a lifetime investment but if you're considering PLEASE look up how to take care of them!! 1. Never pack this bad boy away wet. This is the number one killer of canvas tents. Let it sit out, dry, then pack her back up into the spacious bag they offer. Make sure to store it in a cool dry place for off seasons. Also, Long gone are the days of trying to fit your tent into a tiny bag, they give you a good size bag. Once you learn to fold it properly, you'll be folding it right every time with leeway. 2. Cleaning this home wrecker. boat canvas cleaner or any canvas cleaner works great on dirt, stains, etc. it won't harm the fabric and will help prolong your tent. Just water works well too. When camping, I normally just pack a small broom to sweep away any leaves or pollen that collect on the tent. Does great good for it and keeps her pretty. 3. THIS TENT IS WATERPROOF! I read a comment being upset that it isn't, but she most definitely is. I set up this tent and it survived 2 long days of spring rain blasting down on it and we stayed nice and dry. Please note that the tent canvas may feel 'wet' if you touch it, but don't worry. The tent is functioning as is. 4. WATERPROOFING IS NOT FOREVER ON ANY TENT! You have to reapply waterproofing for ANY tent as it begins to wear. This is something you may have to do every 12 to 24 months and consists of buying a waterproof spray and spraying the canvas. Some people spray the inside, some spray outside, some do both. I haven't had to rewaterproof my tent yet and don't anticipate having to anytime yet. DONT USE DETERGENTS OR NON APPROVED SOAPS ON THE CANVAS UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. It will wear the waterproofing off on that area. You will need to wait for the tent to dry and reapply waterproofing spray. If you know this, you are golden. I washed dirt off my tent with just a high pressure hose and a soft sponge and it got all the dirt off beautifully. 4. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A GOOD GROUND TARP. This tent has a nice thick reliable floor but over time, like any tent, if you're dropping it down on sharp rocks, it's going to wear out the floor. get yourself a nice, thick tarp to put under it to protect your tent. Make sure the tarp isn't sticking out when it rains so water doesn't collect on the tarp and under your tent. Lay it down, nicely keep it under your tent and you should be set. 5. Try to keep it out of the sun if keeping up for prolonged periods of time. Use a tarp if needed to protect it. Some things to note about this tent: they give you sturdy stakes and a handy hammer to make stake removal easy. The hook on the hammer allows you to easily remove stakes from the ground. The directions on setting up the tent for the first time easy as the seller provides not only written instructions, but images to go with it. The pamphlet is thick paper and won't tear easily if you toss it back into one of the three bags they give you. The tent only has two tent poles and I find it's easier and quicker to put up than a normal dome tent. This keeps keeps a nice temperature and it's roomy. We bought the 4m size and we have a full size air mattress, a large dog bed, an inflatable chair and ottoman, and a table in our tent. It's made for a very comfortable way to camp, definitely glamping. The only con I can think of is the stitching in some areas was frayed. This made me worry that it was cheaply stitched. Since it lasted such a heavy rain and doesn't leak, I removed the loose strings and she's good to go. ... show more

  • A sturdy girl!
Color: Beige Size: 6M/20FT
Honestly I wasn’t so sure at first.. it’s so hard to work with a round room with low walls and the “ceiling” walls take up a lot of space. However, once I figured the correct way of tying the guy lines and making sure the ground zippers were covered (because the first night it rained HARD and it flooded my tent - but after i got them covered - it hasn’t happened since) which us wonderful because I live in my bell tent full time on the Oregon coast and it’s rainy and WINDY. She’s holding strong! I got the 20ft because I knew I’d be living in it full time with my 4 animals (two small dogs and two small cats - who, btw LOVE living in it.) I created a faux wall using blankets and a photography backdrop stand so I have a bathroom with sink and toilet, a place to shower and dress, and the other “room” has my kitchen, full size bed, and plenty of room for a small living room. You just really need to use the space to your advantage! Instead of putting everything against the walls, use the middle of the tent. Get creative with the space. It does get very cold - the tent is essentially like sleeping outside - I haven’t purchased a wood stove yet, but people seem to like them and it seems to keep people warm. I’ve just sort of learned to deal with it for the time being. It also gets very, very warm and very, very stuffy, even with having the windows and door open on warm days. We get really hot at only 60 degrees, so I’m really glad the walls can be zipped up a bit - because there’s no way you could live in this in super hot weather. I don’t use electricity. I only use a solar power generator - so I don’t have the option of running an air conditioner or heater full-time, but we’re making it work. The tent itself truly is sturdy. After the first night of having the tent sort of flood, and also having some leakage from the walls, it hasn’t happened again, even in extreme rain. It gets very windy every single afternoon here and it does blow the walls pretty harshly, but not enough to mess up the guy lines! And there’s no draft which is lovely! I would probably end up going with a wall tent if I planned on really having some place to live for good - only because you can really optimize all the space and it’s so much harder in this round room with such low walls, but for the time that I will be in this space I’m happy with my purchase! ... show more

  • Not very fire resistant
Color: Beige Size: 5M/16.4FT
First time using this with a camp stove in it and it burnt a hole in the tent event though the stove pipe was centered through the hole with the silicone sleeve it came with. I love the tent but this is very disappointing that this happened.

  • Wow
Color: Beige Size: 6M/20FT
This yurt tent was amazing! We were homeless and needed a nice tent to call home for a while. This was water resistant in snow and rain. In snow it does require you to kind of knock on the walls to get the snow off and it came off very easily. And it was HUGE! We did need at least 2 people to set up but was a breeze with 3. We stayed out in the woods for a month with 2 cats, 2 dogs, and 3 people. You want a larger stove for the big size yurt! Don't go with the small one trust me! It got very cold with the small stove. My bf is 6'3" and could move comfortably inside. ... show more
