I chose YitaHome because it has the most readable remote control. Most remote controls from other companies use tiny cryptic symbols to show mode and fan speed. My other split system's remote control can not be read. I have to feel the indoor unit's output to know whether it heating or cooling. This Yitahome 18,000 BTU split system is identical to dozens of other systems from the same Chinese factory with a different name label stuck on them, some costing 3 times more. So, don't spend more than you have to. I deducted 1 star in my rating because of 2 surprises not described in any product advertisement or review. 1. Yes it has an auto mode that automatically chooses heating or cooling to main a preset temperature. Unfortunately, the user cannot set that temperature it is set at the factory and you cannot change it. My system's auto mode maintains my room temperature at 74 degrees F plus or minus 1 degree. When heating the indoor unit displays 68 degrees. And, when cooling the indoor unit displays 77 degrees. Actually, I can live with that and would probably choose the same temperature if I had a choice. 2. In the heating and cooling modes the fan is always on. The compressor will stop when it reaches the desired temperature. But the fans stays on. If you set the fan to auto it slows way down but does not stop. Some people believe that is more efficient. Knowing these things I still would have bought the YitaHome 18,000 BTU split system.

Just installing it. Return line from evaporator (interior) unit is short. Barely goes thru 6" wall & siding, making it difficult to bend without crimping. Last unit I installed had corrugated piping, much easier to install. Also, provided pipes are 13.1'. Too short for my replacement, had to re-use old pipes. Changed to five star for excellent customer service. Instruction booklet poorly described the filter placement (pic shows front installation) so I mistakenly thought the filters were missing. They sent replacements quickly and without questions. I owe them an apology, although better instructions would have avoided the issue.

Ordered this to put in a new building. By time it was installed and tested 30 days had just passed. So no refund. Tech said it threw like 5 codes. In short, no heat, lots of bad codes right out of the box. Just buy a name brand. Would totally give it no stars if i could.

Was really excited to get this unit! Got it all hooked up within a weeks time just to find out the heat is not working so now we have to contact HVAC to figure out what the issue is. A little disappointed.

Good unit easy install. Buy longer tubing it takes more than you think. Cheap flaring job, cut them off and redo them or it will leak.
