Title: Super Quiet, Energy Efficient, and Easy to Install – Great Value Review: I installed the YITAHOME 18,000 BTU mini split in my home, and so far it has exceeded expectations. The unit is super quiet—both the indoor and outdoor components run smoothly with barely any noise, which makes a huge difference in comfort compared to traditional systems. Installation was straightforward with just a few tools. The included kit covers everything you need, and while I did choose to cut and reflair the lines myself, the process was not difficult. This gave me flexibility during the install and ensured a clean, professional finish without needing to call in extra help. Performance-wise, the system cools a large space quickly and evenly (up to around 1,250 sq. ft. as advertised). The inverter technology and 19 SEER2 efficiency rating are impressive—already noticing lower energy use compared to my older unit. I also appreciate that it’s Wi-Fi enabled and Alexa compatible, which makes controlling the AC from my phone or by voice extremely convenient. The build quality feels solid, and the design looks modern and clean once mounted. Very disappointed had it working fine until it started messing up within the month after we no longer could return it back called the manufacturer and they were no help at all it stated 5 yr warranty on parts yet they said they didint. Said they were gonna send someone to look into it but nobody ended up showing it was even showing an error code we told them about that they said there was no way it was a showing a code but literally was popping up on there.. we had two Hvac people come and even take a look and they couldn’t even figure it out sooo wasted all this money on something that didint end up working. ... show more

Quite disappointed with this product it’s doesn’t really keep 350 sq ft cold it cools somewhat yes but not as it should. The horizontal swing doesn’t work and item was dirty and dented upon arrival. It was however easy to install and is extremely silent.

When searching for a DIY mini split you want a pre charged unit that has the refrigerant included. This Yitahome 12k unit comes pre charged You will however need some tools to install primarily #1 Vacuum pump there’s a lot of them on AMAZON that come with the Gauges and Fitting adapters to attach to your mini split for about $100 #2 Torque wrench with an adjustable head that opens NO LESS than 22mm you can find digital ones just make sure the ft pounds has a range between 2 to 45 ft pounds the ones at harbor freight that attach to you wrench don’t have adequate range of torque. You can buy a digital one for around $60 but at the time of the review ours was no longer available and the prices went up however analog one run around $50. #3 2inch hole saw bit to cut the hole for the line sets thru the wall. #4 Nylog blue sealant to put on the flare tips (not the threads) of the copper refrigerant lines. $12 to $15 on amazon a small bottle last a long time. #5 a mount or a base for the outside unit these units aren’t very heavy and can hang on the side of your house as long as it’s a secure wall. Or hanging mount was adjustable and had a level built in it cost $34.99 but the cheaper ones that you have to level out separately were terrible if you didn’t measure right and have to move the bracket you wind up putting holes in your siding. It came with vibration pads and mounting screws. #6foam pipe insulation tape to wrap the around the copper couplings. $10 roll (optional) the mini split comes with white wrap as well as putty to cover gaps in the wall to keep bugs out. Also optional is a wall is a 2 in wall tube that’s add protection against pest and if your going thru aluminum or steel siding it protect the lines from cutting on the metal. We had 2in PVC plumbing pipe and a flange cap that we cemented on the outside end that we cut to size and it fit the line set perfectly and looked good on the outside. The inside unit powers from the outside compressor thru the black communication cable. We wired our outside unit with a power cable we made to plug it into a wall plug so we can power it with a generator if there’s a power failure. You can find 18/3 AWG 600 volt wire and waterproof plugs on Amazon. This makes the installation faster and you don’t need to hard wire a disconnect box to the fuse panel. Even with the cost of vacuum pump and torque wrench etc. the Mr Cool with the no vacuuming lines that’s completely plug and play cost around $1700 for a 12k BTU unit and these units are so much better than window AC units that we installed 2 already and plan on installing another one on a separate property. The WiFi option only works on 2.4 ghz WiFi you have to download the AC Freedom app our unit didn’t have a scatter code or numbers anywhere on the inside unit the work around was to create a profile in the AC freedom app then on the remote press the Health button 8 times within a second you’ll hear 2beeps and the app will show you a temporary AC-xxxx number that you can connect the unit to the App with. You probably have to use the same process to connect to Alexa or try to do it a the same time on 2 different devices. Alexa has pre recognized more popular brands like Della and Mr cool in there app but not Yitahome. This unit does not have the side grill but the Mepty mini split we ordered 1st didn’t come with one either we plan on surrounding the outside unit with privacy panel anyway so it’s not a big deal you could probably use chicken wire cut to size if your worried about it being open. Both inside and outside units are so quiet you can barely hear them, you think this isn’t going to cool but then about 30 minutes later your freezing Amazing difference from a window AC and it heats and is energy efficient. ... show more
