I bought this unit because it was cheap then saw a few reviews about issues people were having with hooking it up and I got kind of worried. Anyway it came in, I watched a few videos on installation, then began hooking it up. Everything was pretty easy, its all match this color wire to this color port, idk how this was complicated for anyone. It has a cardboard template that shows you exactly where to cut and drill. The wires and lines were the exact length for the outside units placement so I didn't bother cutting any of the lines. Once everything is attached, its a good idea to run a vacuum on the lines with a pump. It also will tell you if you have any leaks which will save you before releasing freon into the system. I was previously using a noisy window unit, this thing is practically silent and blows super cold. The remote has a lot of different functions to choose from. Overall Im very happy with this purchase. Also if you haven't thought about it, you may want to purchase a mount for the outside unit to keep it off the ground. You can put it on a slab but grass and bugs are more likely to get stuck in your coils.

Lots of reasons to love this Heating/AC Mini Split!

With the delivery I'm expecting today I will have 3 of these units in my home. Our central air went out and we've been using window units while we explored our options. So much better than window units and much quieter. I think I actually like them better than a central unit. No more keeping the entire house set at same temperature, but can decide what temp individual rooms need to be. Only used the heating once or twice because we don't have many cold days but they seemed to work well, warm and toasty. Fairly sure lightening got our old central so that shut down climate control in entire house. Hopefuly we won't have another weather event like that again, but if something effected one unit it wouldn't take out all! So far, so good!

If you're handy you should have no problem installing this unit. It works great. Powerful yet quiet. I'm using it in my backyard Pub. Buy with confidence. The display on the remote is excellent.

Pros and cons

Installation isnt too difficult. Instructions were lacking and unclear in places. Apparently their printer does not print f's. For example instructions say "make sure unit is o." Process of elimination tells me they mean off since all other n's print fine. Unit is very quiet. Temp control is not accurate. Set for 67 to keep area at 73. Also, not like furnace. Some functions can only be accessed via the app on my phone and not via the remote. Example: the auto fan function. Remote only allows for low, medium and high. Lines are not precharged. Only the outdoor compressor. If you are not hvac skilled you will still need to call in a tech to vacuum and charge the lines before use. Value for money spent is still good though. Only been operational for 5 days so far.

It was pretty simple to put together though I'll recommend you do research on how to put a mini split on and don't skimp. Otherwise use a precharge line set other more expensive mini splits use like McCool. I'll update if anything catastrophic happens

These 2 systems do NOT match. Also seemingly not yitihome. The inside unit comes with a 230 wire set up that is already attached Black, red, white, and green. This does not match the outside unit as it only has room for black, white, and green. This unit can not be set up and I ordered 2 of them! Less than 1 star for me they are useless!Also cannot be converted with the separate cord sent. The installer says these two units do not match. And said he could not install. Money wasted!
