So I bought this iron to take on a trip and before leaving I decided to see how it works. The steam iron did work well except it burnt the plastic base and some of the black plastic residue was left on iron that eventually got on my shirt. So I would not advise to leave the iron in the base while using because of my experience. Other than that it worked good. Sorry, but I had to return this iron. I hope my review will help others figure out a better way of leaving down the iron while in use. ... show more

    • Easiest Iron Ever
As an interior designer, this iron is such a great find. I can use it on my clothes at home and pop it in my bag to take to client's houses to steam curtains or upholstery. Only cons would be that it runs through water quickly but it's not a huge deal. And there is a design flaw with the cord being on the bottom. You can't set it up like a traditional iron as you are using it. It comes with a little plastic stand but I still haven't figured out if you are supposed to use it to put the hot iron on or if it would melt it or cause an issue. So I have been laying the iron down on it's side on the ironing board to cool and don't go too far away from the iron when I am using it due to this issue.     • This little guy makes ironing easier
After trying this out on one garment I went to my closet to iron all the stuff that's been needing pressing for months. And it's done! The iron is small enough to be light but not so small you can't finish a shirt. It heats fast and gives off a lot of steam. It only has 3 settings, low heat, medium heat with steam if you push the button and high heat with steam option. For my purposes this is perfect. I do occasional ironing, a few items at a time and I will also do mending or alterations sometimes. I find it's perfect for sewing. I set it up next to me and turn it on and off as needed because it heats so fast...no need to keep it on while I work. The ironing plate is 6 1/4 x 2 5/8. About as big as my cell phone. I find that big enough to iron clothes yet small enough to fit in folds. It's pretty too! ... show more

It does turn off frequently through out use, but the heat it produces makes it worth the minor inconvenience. It does well with putting vinyl on shirts!

This is a GREAT steam iron for the value....i can either hang my stuff up or lay them on an ironing board......FULL STEAM POWER......takes 45 secs to fully heat up and away you go......light weight.....easy to fill.....small tank but STRONG steam jets.....WORTH IT.....great price for what i got.....
