We got these cameras to watch our cat while we’re away. They’re pretty good quality for the price I purchased them at and some of the features they supply (motion activated, sound activated, etc.) are useful and work correctly. I was especially surprised how infrequently motion activation is wrong - most the time, it’s right about detecting motion. The big catch here is the app to go along with these. It’s garbage: panning through videos takes forever, the time skips back frequently when you try to swipe to a specific time, the recordings and interface try at every step of the way to get you to pay for their cloud subscription/software. Thankfully, you can bypass most of this by purchasing micro SD cards yourself and inserting them into the cameras for recording (we run them 24/7 but you can record just on motion/sound detection as well) So, overall, app sucks, cameras are good. If you need to record and don’t want to pay for their cloud subscription, just buy some micro SD cards. I’d recommend at least 128 GB so you can record at least a few days worth of footage. ... show more

These cameras are very good purchase at this price. However many of the features only work with the purchase of the cloud service at a significant price. The seller will continuously nag you to purchase the service. Also the PC App does not allow any control of the camera features such as zoom and pan. Playback only at x1 speed. I've bought several great Yi indoor Camera previously, so i decided to pick this up. The storage limit for Memory card is just for 6 minutes, and if you want the full video, you must upgrade to a paid cloud subscription.

I bought a different monitor for my kids rooms and it wasn’t as high of quality as I wanted so I went back online and found this one and immediately ordered it. I was so relieved when I plugged it in that it had such great camera quality and it zooms out pretty far so I can see the whole entire room. That’s super important to me since I have a toddler who is now sleeping in a big kid bed I need to make sure I can see the whole room in case they get up and wander.
