I bought 2 of these back in Jan and Feb 25 and forgot about the review. I love these storage bins and the accessibility of them being at the tailgate, as I have a bed cover and had to remove my big storage bin. I love that they lock in place and the easy release latch to swing out. Mine are covered so I cannot speak to the waterproof or weather durability, but I don't see how water could get into them. The seller was great to work with when I purchased a second one. They definitely fit in that dead space in the truck. The install wasn't too bad. Easy to remove if needing to haul something that puts them in the way. They aren't that big but they serve their purpose for tools and hand towels, etc... Would buy again for family.

So far these are great! Easy to install. I advise that you watch a YouTube video to install. The directions are just okay. Extra parts were included in the kit. These seem sturdy. Now I have all my ratchet straps and basic tools organized.

I beleive there are "nicer" quality tool boxes like these out there but these work just fine for the price. I found the install easy but I have some knowledge and the right tools for the job. The self drilling sheet metal bolts they came with are of lackluster quality and a couple broke under normal install parameters. The kit came with a few extra. I like that you can easily remove them off of the hinges when swung out partially and take them out when you need the space. Besides the lid lock they came with you can lock them onto the hinge so they cannot be removed (with your own padlock). They do not have a load capacity but from the construction I would not plan on putting heavier duty tools in them. I would say 20-25 lbs tops.

It arrived with a broken piece inside. It also will not remain attached. I've replaced the self tapping screws twice and bought larger ones and it still will not stay attached. This could be a wonderful item if only it would stay where it's supposed to.

Wanted to give some time before writing this. I have two of these. One on each bedside of one of my trucks. It does hold a decent amount of tools and is convenient. That's is where the good ends. They are not water proof. At least once a week I have to take all items out of them and dry them off and dry out the boxes. What good is a outside tool box that can't keep out water?? Secondly, the plastic rails they ride on are starting to give and making the boxes droop. And I have less than half of what they say the weight limits is in these boxes. I would hate to see how they do if someone actually pushed the weight capacities to their max. They are a good concept and would be a great option for ease of access of tools if they weren't basically jun. Who thought it was a good idea to have all of the pivot load of these boxes riding on plastic mounts? And the top seal is a joke, hence all of the water. Guess I'll just have to put in a fullsize bed box like on my other truck. Didn't want to take up that bed space on this truck but what's the use if they soak your tools and supplies in water and they want to fall off the cheap henges.

Primary mounting bracket is not surgically precision lined up with the contours of the truck bed, but easily enough play to get it tacked down plumb and square, box swings out and back smooth. I can easily put around 25 to 30 pounds in each without concern. Any higher than that I would monitor for eventual deformity in the plastic lid fit. Overall super satisfied for this price.
