I hung this bamboo shade over a tension rod as I didn't want to drill, though it came with hanging hardware. The tension rod worked fine, I used a strong brown cord, putting it through the attached hooks to hang the shade on the rod on the inside section of the window frame. Hardware is rolled up inside the blinds. Woops! Left a bad review about it at first and the supplier was quick to offer a refund! I found them, but ended up using sturdier hooks to hang. They look lovely. The cord is very long and doesn’t roll up all the way on the storage piece. We got them for privacy, not for blocking light so I was happy with how much light still got through. One blind doesn’t lay flat agains the window which is annoying, but we just put it on the corner window and you can’t really tell. Overall very pleased with this purchase. ... show more

I use them on my back door. They work great. The only complaint I have is you can see through them when they are closed. So I had to use a curtain as well.
