When I opened the package, removed the lighter from the packaging, filled it with butane, (which was very easy), but it didn't work, no gas was coming out of the nozzle, I tried several times adjusting this and that (recommended by manufacturer) and still didn't work. So I started the return policy and just needed to bring it to UPS and they would take care of the labeling and shipping, but before I could do that I needed to empty it from the butane I filled it with, as I started to empty it my finger pushed the ignitor button and guess what, IT LIT, OMG. IM NOT SURE WHY IT DIDN'T WORK AT FIRST, SO NOW THAT ITS WORKED CONSTANTLY I CANCELLED MY RETURN, IT IS LIGHTWEIGHT EASY TO USE AND BEING ABLE TO POINT THE NOZZLE IN ANY DIRECTION I WANT IS A GOOD THING AND OF COURSE THE PRICE WAS RIGHT! ... show more

Okay so i got the lighter came with a 12month warranty card. No clue if it's valid since I was only able to replace it once and after was offered a refund however this lighter is awesome. At first I couldn't fill it but it turned out it was because if the type butane I was using. If you are going to buy this I recommend using zippy butane because it works. I was using a different butane that was not compatible and I was going to return it thinking it was the torch but it WASN'T. TORCH WORKS AMAZING. I love it esp for what I need it for. ... show more

    • Torch Lighters are temperamental and are not consistently reliable.
I've bought 3 of these torch lighters; 2 purple and 1 blue. Unfortunately, neither of the purple lighters are consistently reliable. The WARRANTY CARD states there is a 12 month warranty on the torch lighters. It also states to contact the vendor by Amazon yet there is not a way of communicating with them. I am attempting to find out if this is a BOGUS WARRANTY or whether the vendor is going to honor their card placed in with the torch upon purchase. Please contact me. I would like either a refund or 2 new torch lighters to replace the 2 that are not working as stated. I will be glad to return if you send me a label. Thank you, ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Had this lighter now for a number of months. I use it every single day multiple times a day. I'm a smoker. I'm a joker. I'm also a midnight toker. The lighter has worked great up until recently. Now I have to click the button numerous times to get it to light sometimes which doesn't make sense really because every time I click the switch it shoots a little bit of lightning, and it is emitting butane, but alas no flame. I like the bendable neck. It's made of metal so magnets work on it. I've added a couple of magnets to one of my "aqua pipes", and so I always have lighters very handy for my sessions. It's easy to fill, just like most every other butane lighter turn it upside down and push down. I think more butane goes outside of the unit than inside though lol. I really wish someone would redesign the method for adding butane to lighters. Overall I still like and use it, I'm just concerned about its length of life. But time will tell. ... show more

    • Great torch - figured out a trick

This is really awesome small, directed, torch flame - perfect for small work. I bought one of these torches in 2021 and after 2 years the flame had shrunk so small it was hard to use and light, so I bought another one in 2023. The new one has the original nice long flame on the highest rotation setting. And, of course only 1 day later, I realized that maybe I could correct the prior one, and quickly discovered that the black adjustment knob on the bottom slips on its stem... So it simply wouldn't turn the flame up without the knob hitting the built-in stop. (1) EASY FIX: Just pull the black adjustment knob off the bottom (it just presses on/off), you'll see the knurled stem the knob fits on. Use a small straight screwdriver and adjust the flame directly first, then push the knob back on. Pay attention to the rotation stop pin on the lighter side, and stop bar inside the back of the knob. All fixed - now I have two very awesome little lighters. (2) Maybe one other tip - my first one doesn't hold gas long (we'll see on #2), so I carry a small 18 ml butane refill in my same camping case, then each trip I only refill the lighter for 1-2 seconds and it's good for the entire trip. My last 18 ml refill bottle lasted over 2 years and many trips. (3) Okay, last tip as I see in some reviews that people have trouble with it lighting on the first click... With both of mine, if I squeeze the light button slowly, it lights every time, first time. But if I snap it down quickly, it is hit-or-miss on lighting up. I hope this helps someone out there! ... show more
