  • French Press
Style: 34 oz. Color: Tropical Pink
I have purchased a few French press. This is the best one so far. It actually keeps the coffee hot longer than the others that I have purchased. I would definitely buy it again, if I ever need to. I think this one will last a long time. It’s easy to clean and it can go into the dishwasher.

  • Built like a tank.
Style: 34 oz. Color: Navy
This press is solid and looks cool. Hopefully the next generation will include the magnetic sliding lid that is used on the mug. It's heavy enough that tipping over isn't going to occur easily. It might serve as a doorstop when not used for making coffee.

  • Does not retain heat as promised
The rather large pour hole in the lid lets tons of heat out, which makes this device pointless. It wont keep your coffee much hotter than the glass model. Also, the recommended tablespoons of coffee for 32 vs 63 ounces is insane. 9-10 for 32 ounces and 16-18 for 64 is nuts. That’s like half a bag of coffee. Skip this, it’s way overpriced and not worthwhile. ... show more

  • Not Assembled in shipping packaging
For the record, I have numerous Yeti products. The only issue I ever had is that the recently received Rambler 64 OZ French Press was delivered in a box with the lid separated from the threaded steel rod as was the filter, mesh plunger and gasket. I had to use a needle nose plier to pull the mess plunger and gasket out of the bottom of the French Press container because the lid precluded screwing the rod into the filter assembly. The result was a few small scrapes in the "dura coat" coating at the base of the French Press. Although hidden from site and probably not a real issue, I am not thrilled about having scrapes in a brand new product. The rod, filter, plunger and gasket should have been together so that a new user can easily pull the assemble from the canister. I already used the French Press and still need it this weekend, so returning it is not a viable option. Great product so far, although it only kept the coffee hot for 40 minutes at best, but the scrapes caused by poor packaging and promise of "hours" of hot coffee prevent a max rating. Also, I couldn't send a comment to customer service on their web site using Safari or Chrome. Issues with their web site and not just SafariI as I was told I guess. They still don't show any ratings on this product on their web site. That is probably because no one can send a review. I did call customer service but the representative was not overly concerned and not very helpful. I recommended that the item be shipped fully assembled to preclude other customer from being frustrated. I doubt she will pass this on, thus my review on Amazon. I just want to get the word out in case I am not the only pour soul that has or will receive a disassembled product. Recommend customers be careful attempting to pull the filter out if disconnected from the steel rod at first opening of the package. On a good note, the French Press works very well with cold liquids. Water and Ice lasted over three hours and probably longer. Overall, the product is probably a 4, but the lack of concern and inability to digitally contact Yeti brings the rating down to a 3. My first non-five rating for a Yeti. ... show more

  • YETI, I hope you're reading this!
Big fan of Yeti products! I have the 64oz French Press and product quality is what's expected. I specifically like the rubber gasket with filter press which serves a primary purpose to keep grounds and brew separated to prevent bitterness you otherwise get for leaving it extended period of time. The reason is for my 4 Star review is the lid missing a hole cover to keep the brew hot. The whole value of Yeti is to maintain it's tempature for extended period of tim. I'm having to pour my brew into a thermos which, in my view, defeats the purpose of having the Yeti in the first place? Yeti, if you're reading this, PLEASE,PLEASE! add this feature, I'll buy the replacement lid!! ... show more

  • The Most Delicious French Press Coffee Ever
Wow! Was I impressed after my first pot of coffee made in the Yeti French Press. I've used quite a few French Presses with mixed results. Some of my cups of Joe were pretty good, some not so good, some gritty, some with more grounds than I would like in a cup and some too strong, too weak, probably part my fault. OK so....after all of my experience with French Presses, they were middle of the pack on my list of favorite ways to brew coffee. Enter the Yeti. I got the 64 oz in red. This is the easiest to clean after making a pot. It wipes down, probably with the what looks like enamel inner coating. It's very easy. The plunger is easy to clean too. Now for the coffee it makes. I have found the magic formula is coarsely ground beans. I put a full standard 2 tblsp scoop of whole beans to 10 oz of water. I just take a 12 oz cup and fill it with filtered water to what I estimate the 10 oz. level to be; like half an inch from the very top. I have a Hario kettle. I put three cups of water, 10 oz. each into the kettle and heat the water to 200 degrees using a thermometer. Three well rounded 2 tblsp scoops of beans ground coarsely go into the Yeti. Pour the 200 degree water in and stir well. Put the Yeti plunger/lid on and let steep 4 minutes. Plunge it and pour. My first cup of coffee after buying the Yeti blew me away. It was delicious. I read a negative review of the Yeti and don't know how such a great French Press could get a negative write up. Take it from me. I have 3 other high priced French Presses and they don't match up the the Yeti. It might be the combination of the inner surface and the screen of the plunger, who knows...all I know is the Yeti makes absolutely wonderful coffee. I give it an A. Can't wait to make my next pot. Love my new Yeti!!!! ... show more
