Unlike many (or possibly all) of the clones, real Yeti mugs are dishwasher safe, and that's a strong positive feature for me. I love this coffee cup. I have had it for about a month and I love it so much that I went out and got the travel mug, and I got the large 36oz thermos for Christmas. This does a fantastic job keeping my coffee hot. The only issue is that I need to wait a little while to drink it because the coffee is too hot. My dad solves this by filling it with cold water to drink on the way to work, then he buys coffee on his way to work and fills it once he finishes his water, that cools the cup off enough that the coffee cools to a drinkable temp right away, but still stays hot while he drinks the coffee. The other thing I love about this mug is that it is easy to clean. Usually the close cover on the coffee cup is a pain to clean, but this one is magnetically attached, so you can just pop it off for cleaning. My dad has told me to get one of these for a while now, but I thought $30 was too much for a coffee cup, but now I am sold. ... show more

Exactly what is needed for camping. The lid helps keep unwanted bugs out of your drink! The cup keep whatever is inside either cold or warm. The cup doesn’t get overheated on the outside so it’s easily carried and held. Easy to wash by hand or by throwing it in the dishwasher.

Game changer for our Yukon canoe trip. 13 days on the river. Every morning coffee after leaving camp while in 30-40 (f) temps on the water. Coffee HOT for an hour or more. Not for backpacking (heavy) but great for standard camping. For our purposes, worked perfectly.
