I got this to use with one of my dogs that barks at pretty much everything. We have tried other bark collars before, but they have all required that the vibration setting be activated with the included remote, which is annoying, because who wants to carry a remote around with them in the house all day? This appealed to me because the collar itself could detect when my dog was barking, and the vibration (or shock, if you choose to use that method) would then be activated. There are different sensitivity settings that you can set, which is great. The instruction manual was easy to understand, and the receiver itself was quick to charge. The collar itself is very accurate in detecting barking. I wish that I could turn off the beep that accompanies the vibration, as it is quite loud (this is why I am deducting a star). Beyond that, I really the vibration has not really seemed to stop my dog much from barking. I have followed the instructions and the collar is on appropriately as far as how tight it is and where it is positioned, but I haven't really noticed much of a difference with how it has stopped my dog from barking. I will give it a little more time and hopefully things will improve. There is a little green silicone tag with a battery that came along with the device, and I am still not sure what that is for as it is not described anywhere in the listing or owners manual. I believe it's just a little extra bonus they sent along and can light up to put on a collar to maybe help identify a dog in the dark? I'm not sure. I cannot speak on the shock aspect of the collar, as we haven't/will not use that and personally choose not use a training method that will inflict pain on our dogs.

So I already own ones like this, that you use the remote with, but I never seem to be able to get to the button on time or I have two different dogs so switching between the two dogs was hard to figure out and get to fast enough to train them so I thought let me get one like this that can do it for me and it is the best dog collar ever. I don’t know why I just didn’t get one of these from the beginning because it does exactly what it needs to do when they do bark. You can also set the setting to make noise. Only, vibrate only, shock only. Or you can make it sound and vibrate without shock. or you can make it do all three at once then you can also set the pressure you want on each one. Super easy to adjust if it doesn’t work while the dogs barking. I definitely recommend 100%.

Pretty good bark collar, however, it scared my dog quite a bit and now he's gun shy of using it. He's been used to a training collar that also has beep, vibration and shock but this one wigged him out and made him hide. It also was setoff by my children laughing and yelling a lot which really confused him. One other incident was when the collar was triggered by when I was playing with him with a toy rope and he did his playful growl which set off the loud beep. But this is a very simple to use bark collar, but really needs to be dialed in right.

I am using this on my golden retriever, who has been resistant to other bark collars. It charges quickly & holds a charge for many days, even in the cold weather. My neighbor says his daytime barking has decreased significantly, and when I return home he does not cower as he has with other more robust shock collars. I appreciate being able to change the sensitivity to barks and the stimulus strength.

I needed this for my Maltese that always seem to bark early in the morning. So he only needs to wear it during bedtime. Well so far day 1 he is still barking, but I’m noticing it’s not as much. I will be utilizing it more to see if it gets better. Another issue I had was testing the shock. I tried following the instructions, but I was not able to test it because the instructions were not clear. I wanted to turn the shock off to 0 but there is not 0 as the instructions states for that option. I don’t want to use part so I set it to 1 as low as possible. I’m considering a small muzzle.
