This chair is VERY easy to assemble. It is so easy that my 76 year old aunt could probably do it by herself (if she had the physical strength to lift anything heavier than a grocery bag) It is VERY comfortable. I was surprised at how comfortable it was! The vibration is fun, the heat is awesome, the swiveling and rocker is nice and being able to lift the foot stool and get your feet up is an outstanding feature for naps! The only consideration is that it is a manual release to get the footstool back down so until it loosens up, you will have to put some effort into pushing the footstool back down again. (It is not automated) The two cup holders are very helpful because you can put your drink in one, and small items you don't want to dig for in the side pocket in the other. The side pocket for books and magazines is useful too so you aren't losing things between the cushions. I really enjoyed this chair for the few times it has been vacant long enough for me to sit in it! I am seriously trying to justify buying a second one for my self now. Best part, if you are short or petite (my aunt and I are both 5'2" and 5'4" respectively) this recliner is the perfect size.     • Great recliner for the price.
The chair was well packaged - it came in a box that was about 3 ft. on each side. Assembly was quick & easy - just take your time when connecting the wires for the remotes and then fitting the back to the seat. The chair is comfortable, and while not a “wall hugger”, it does not take much space. The two wired “remotes” work perfectly; only cons are that the wire for the seat adjustment remote could be longer, and the massage/heat remote did not have instructions, but it’s not too difficult to figure out. I haven’t used the “stand up” feature yet (except to test it), but it will be great when the day comes that I’ll need it. Overall, it is a good value for the price. ... show more

    • Easy Assembly, Firm but Comfortable and Great Value
Bought this chair for my elderly mother who has problems getting up and also has problems keeping posture. I'm about one month in with this new chair and I have to say, there are more pros than cons. My parents live in a smaller apartment, my big concern was the assembly and how truly big it was going to be in their smaller family room. It fit in the room like a glove which was awesome. The assembly was unbelievable, I was stunned how simple it was. You essentially just connect the back of the chair to the base and plug in a few wires and you're good to go. My mother uses the chair every day and it really is her only chair that she uses while watching TV, she has complained a few times about it being too firm, but she's also at an advanced age. It certainly isn't some giant fluffy Lay-Z-Boy, but for the money and the fact it shows up on your doorstep ready to go, it's been great. When I sit in it, I think its perfectly fine and the cupholders are placed perfectly on each side. We didn't really buy this chair specifically for the heating/massage features but one month in, they're still working and the heating does heat up nice and quick. The only drawback is the remote chords are on the shorter side for some bizarre reason they decided to use this miniscule lettering on the remote for all the controls and this odd blue/green color scheme. It is impossible to read it (I have great vision), I've memorized what buttons to hit for her heat settings when she wants it. But you really need a magnifying glass when you first look at at the remote. When it comes to the extras on this chair, being able to move it up and down, especially to help her getting out of the chair, has been a life-saver. My mother used to sink into an old couch and I would peel her out of it, being able to help propel her forward and help her up to get her around has been awesome. That has easily been my favorite feature and is still working one month in. That up/down remote feature has a great response too, the motor works seamlessly. As with all these Amazon reviews, take the complainers with a grain of salt. People expect to get the world for a few hundred bucks. A little flimsy however very functional great massage across entire back on several settings that are very nice and the chair is a little rickety so be careful when you sit down in it but other than that looks great and it's feels even better

I purchased two of these chairs; this one is used on a daily basis. I had problems with the remote control on both of the chairs, but the seller quickly replaced them and haven't had any more issues. Not that the remote is only for the massage and heat; there is a manual release for the footrest and you also have to manually close it. That takes some strength. There are two rails on each side of the base and two on each armrest to attach them to the base. They were difficult to attach; when I put the second chair together, I measured the distance between the rails on the base and armrest and found the rails on the base were a little off. After measuring the rails on the armrest; I took one of the rails off the base and aligned it properly and was able to get the armrest in place. I also sprayed the rails with silicon spray which also helped. I shared my difficulties with the seller and they said I must not have followed the instructions; thought that was interesting since they consisted of four pictures... The first picture shows how the right armrest is moving out from the side of the base; it appears that there is something broken in the armrest's frame. You can see the large gap where the armrest is away from the base and back of the chair. The last picture is the second chair, which isn't used as frequently, but is also developing a gap between the armrest and the back. I have submitted a new complaint to the seller, but I don't know that they can do anything about the chair at this point; guess I will be sending it to the dump. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend purchasing this chair. I will update this review with latest response from seller. ... show more
