Listen, I had my doubts too about this couch. I really thought for this price, its probably going to be really cheap, and yes while it is (because it is smaller than a regular or normal sized couch for sure) this thing is built! I swear my kid decided to really put this thing through the test immediately after setting it up by christening this dang thing with a nice glass of chocolate milk...testing its durability with stains and my patience, no doubt. I was able to remove and wash the side pillow casing and it didn't seep through to the stuffing (which I added more to what came with the pillows), and for the seat, I was able to wipe it down and I can't see any remaining stained area, really. So I actually ADDED a star back to my review because of that accident lol The cons to this couch: The U shape is not symmetrical and bends in at the ends of the couch, it just looks wonky to me. The backs on the side couches are not flush with the back of the centerpiece, so the ends stick out more, and again, looks wonky. The side pillows are zippered and velcro and the zipper is a huge pain in the behind to get together. The backing pillows do not fluff up at all, I read reviews and purchased extra poly fil and stuffed them myself. The side pillows do fluff up very nicely but you have to remove the entire pillow that is stuffed in there and let it sit out for about an hour (i know this because of said milk accident *facepalm*). The pros: Cheap and a good budget couch Stains really are no match after skipping the tutorial and moving directly to the boss chocolate milk we went. Actually looks really good for a lower cost couch as well Fits nicely in small places and is actually pretty comfortable, even for naps. This could be a pro or a con to some, the couch does sit very low to the ground, so it could be quite a drop for some over 5'5" and above. Also the fabric is decent enough to allow for cat scratcher coverings to be placed on without issue as well. A negative star rating if it was possible. Couch arrived with all cushions vacuum packed. After assembly - 1. Back cuahions, when fully restored to depth, are Very thin. 2. Back cushions fall over. Cushions do not have velcro or other attachment to hold them in place. 3. Seat springs squeak when one sits down (I weigh 182 lbs). 4. Couch is built for a tall user vs a short torso user. This is not clearly noted in Amazon item description. When sitting, I'm 5ft 5inches tall, my back will Not reach the back cushions making it uncomfortable to sit on. 4. Assembly instruction clearly state 'couch must be returned in original boxes'. Return per instructions is Impossible. Cushions have now fully expanded from being vacuum packed. There is No Way to get cushions, which as noted twice in this review were vacuum packed, plus placed inside frames for shipment, back into the original 3 boxes they arrive in. Let me start by saying I’m in love with this couch. It took me 3 weeks to finally decide to order it because of the reviews and my skepticism but I’m glad I did. I read every review and looked at every version of this couch from different vendors and settled on this one because of the more positive reviews and pictures. Here’s my review and tips if you are skeptical as well. 1. I received all 3 boxes at the same time without any issues. Nothing was broken or faulty with my shipment. 2. Yes, the reviews about the cushions being a bit flat are true. So, I orders a 5lb page of Poly-Fil(less than $20) at the same time and fluffed it up to my liking and have no problems. I fluffed the side and back cushions the most. I noticed that one of the bottom cushions is more fluffed than the other. I’m going to wait the recommended 72 hours to see if it fluffs up, if not I’ll add some extra Poly-Fil. Also this is right after I opened the box so it’s still not fluffed to its 100%. 3. It took me 45 minutes from start to finish because I did it alone. The most tedious part was screwing in the back supports. Aligning the screws and holes took a bit but once I figured it out, no issue. TIP: Screw the bottom 2 screws first and it’ll be seamless. 4. There is a slight chemical smell but again this is 45 minutes after unboxing and it hasn’t air out. I did add fabric softener in a spray bottle and gave a light mist to all cushions and I can’t smell a thing. 5. It’s bigger than I thought! I ordered accent chairs and a coffee table but this couch takes up most of the space for my designated area but it fits perfectly!! 6. The couch is darker than the photos shown but still grey. I actually prefer this color and it matches perfectly. If it was the color of the stock photo it would’ve been too light for the aesthetic of my home. ... show more
