Full time server at a four-course fine dining restaurant. Essentially, I am on my feet both mobile and idly in a busy kitchen for 8-10 hours five or more nights a week. For a long time, I've given a great deal of research into my footwear for kitchen work. My requisites are that they be non-slip, oil resistant, waterproof, and have a steel toe. I want my feet to be full protected in an environment with hot oil and broth, sharp objects, and blind corners where the propensity to drop things is pretty significant. I also perfer boots because I am flat footed and they provide better arch and ankle support. Never worn timbs for work, but they're a reputable brand so I thought I'd try them out. First pair, the second boot didn't even leave the box before I knew they were going to be too tight for me in the toe region, I ended up exchanging for the 'wide' option in the same size, fit perfectly. So far, three weeks in and they've broken in nicely. The non-slip tread is effective, and they seem very durable. I've removed the insoles and put in the orthodics for my flat feet, but the support on its own was comfortable to stand on for extended periods of time. Also, I'm realizing this might actually be my first review so take that for what it is. I gave enough of a dam to write a positive response cause this is a commodity I've always taken seriously. My boyfriend loves them he’s actually considering buying another pair. I gave 4 stars cause we haven’t had them long enough to give that type of review.As of now he loves them and there true to size,so get whatever size you normally wear.

At this price I would expect attention to detail. Why would you have a 6 inch boot without a pull strap? Makes it more difficult than it should be. As far as durability? Too early to give any feedback at this time. But I do like the fit and ankle support.

I bought these for my 17 year old son, he needed steel toe boots for a BOCES class. My main concern was that they were comfortable because I know they can be heavy. He is absolutely loving them! Very well made & he has received many compliments on the grey color.

I got the light Gray color. These Boots are gorgeous! I love the classic construction boot style. Can't go wrong with Tims! Timberland Pros are one of the best boots out there. I have the fashion Tim's and the Poertrain Pro. I read all the reviews saying Size up. I have wide feet and I am size 10.5. I ordered my normal 10.5 wide size instead of 11. I thought they were too small when i first tried them on. I was going to return them. I decided to try them again. Once I walked in them for more than 1 hour the boot starts to loosen up. It made a good size Toe Box and I decided these workfor me. These boots are very comfortable. I didn't care about the non slip when I ordered them. I ended up using the non slip traction more than I thought. The main thing for me is comfort. My boots before this were Super Comfortable. My other pair of boots are Irish Setter Moc Toe wedge boots. I love my old boots but These timberlands have made the cut for sure. I have to give it another 6 months to see how they hold up. I will update. I would order again and recommend.
