During my short search into this type of rack accessory I was somewhat astonished at the cost of these simple predominantly plastic rack accessories. There was no way I was paying the premium for a brand name, so I settled on one of the value minded Amazon brands. I was about to pull the trigger on another brand that was slightly more expensive when I came upon these. What made the decision for me was that these were designed with both the T track and U bolt mounting. Most brands only include some form of U bolt mounting that I was originally planning to modify to suit my needs of the T bolt track on my Trac Rac truck bed rack. Well I just finished the installation and it went well, the T track mounting is by far the cleanest look. I did however have to modify the included T Bolts as the included bolts were roughly 19mm square on the head of the bolt (something not easily determined by the listing information). I simply ground the two edges of each bolt to just less than 14mm to accommodate the TR rack groove(see attached photo). A couple of turns with a 10mm wrench and these were installed. The reasons for the 4 star vs 5 are as follows, Included chineseium hardware is let's say a bit cheesey, they are some form of steel with what appears to be a light galvanized coating. I would have preferred something a bit heavier gauge and stainless construction, as these will be in a predominantly wet location. I am keeping my eye out for larger SS hardware. The included straps are very light gauge and designed to hooked into the rack mount. I am not going to trust that these light duty straps will hold the kayak down. Furthermore the hook design would mean that the entire kayak is only held down by the couple of cheesy T bolts. I value my kayak and my liability more than that, and will continue to utilize my existing strapping and method that includes wrapping around the truck mounted rack. At 75mph on the highway I will feel good about it. Overall (without hauling any Yaks just yet) I am happy with this product and would buy again or recommend to another. I will update the review if there are any issues with durability, loading, unloading, or travel with my kayak, but at this point I don't foresee any. ... show more

    • Check the width of your cross bar before purchasing
Liked them, but unfortunately, I had to return them. The crossbars on my outback were wider than the u-bolt that attaches the mounts. Wish they would have fit. That was on me. Returned product.

    • I wanted to install it, but had bad bolts
The saddles seem decent enough, but one of the T-slot bolts was fouled, and I wasn't able to get the nut on it to install. I ended up buying some replacement t-bolts in order to install it. I guess that's just what you should expect at something that is 1/2 the price of the brand-name (M alone, Rhino, etc) product. ... show more

    • Used Square cross bar.
With square cross bar worked great just cross bars didn't fit vehicle like they should have. Easy on/off with carriers but not sure how they will work with other style cross bars.

The product it self is nice. I am frustrated with the website description since it doesn't specify the measurements/requirements or a compatibility chart to know what roof racks will work with this item. Please look at the pictures for a better idea of the actual size.
