Right of back I am not real happy. It did not come with anchors. I purchased some and got to installing. I have it at it's highest height and it seems to be a bit shaking. Not in the wall but where the two bars come together. It looks like it is not going to go hold for long. Like the the weight of the the bag which by the way is only 80 pounds will be to much for it. This does say it will hold up to 100 pounds. I would not vouch for that however. Will see how it performs and update at a later time ... show more

If I remeber correctly this product is rated for 150lbs (can't check while writing this review). I have a 100lb bag and this is my experience so far. If you're not prepared to anchor this hanger to studs or bolt it to concrete this bag hanger isn't for you. I bolted mine to 2"x4"s and then screwed the 2"x4"s into wall studs. It is secure and I haven't worried about it coming down. The L shape hanger has height adjustment, I have mine maybe a couple notches up and the L shaped hanger is already beginning to slump a bit. You have to hang the unit high to begin with and do not trust the height adjuster unless you have a lighter bag. The clip that you actually hang the bag from busted the other day while I was practicing Teeps and now I need a studier clip. It would have been nice if sturdier material was included, but for $40 you get what you pay for. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and if it weren't for these inconveniences I would give this product 5 stars. ... show more

So, to mount this on drywall first you need to get wooden slats to attach to the studs and then attach this to the wood. Because you need to attach a lot of screws to the wall and they are not at the same place that you are going to find studs. Of course, I didn't think about this before I ordered it. A hassle, but workable. Once we did that, it attached well and worked well. It was for my son in his bedroom so not exactly a super-intense place like a gym. But it holds well for him and his friends when they use it. Overall better than getting a big stand thing which takes up a lot of room. ... show more

First I will like to say it works however, you are not getting a high quality product which should be understandable and is acceptable to me give the price. The welds connecting the wall brackets to the body of the unit are not straight which results in the mounting arm not extending straight out from the wall at a 90 degree angle and the wall brackets are not parallel to each other like they could or should be do to poor attention to manufacturing. Both of these shortcomings are more esthetic than functional issues. The fact that the wall brackets do not have the needed length nor mounting holes to accommodated a normal 16" on center wall stud is baffling to me and as such you will need to use some sort of backing plate if mounting to a wall with normally spaced studs. The gauge of metal used is a little laughable given this mount is intended to hold a punching bag but so far it is holding. When in use, the mounting arm will move a little from side to side given the play around the holding pins but it's not much of an issue. My main concern is the overall cheap construction and potential short comings in manufacturing that could reduce the life of the mount but for now it is holding. The picture shows how far off to the left the mounting arm is and that level of lack of attention to manufacturing is a little concerning. ... show more

I purchased this product about two years ago when my wife and I moved into a new house. I have an 80lb bag that I put up in our garage with this bracket. Overall, I am very happy with the way it has held up through the punishment. There is no reason for me to have to swing this out of the way, so I have only had to tighten the two screws twice since installing. It is worth noting that I am by no means a heavyweight, nor an experienced boxer. I am a 165lb male using the bag primarily for fitness circuits twice a week (a few thousand punches per workout). But other than some squeaking as I lay into it, this has given zero indication that it will fail. The one caveat is that I did ensure that it was mounted onto 1 1/2" of wood material that spanned two stud bays in the wall (attached to three studs). You will want to do something similar for additional support and buffering. Given a proper installation, I think this holds up extremely well though. ... show more

So I installed it and hung a 70lb punching bag and have it fully extended to the max it can go. It scares me because when the bag swing you can see the bracket move and bend but it doesn’t really bend. It still straight and woks well.
