This bar is extremely well made and solid! It will last a lifetime. The shoulder pad is comfortable and leaves me no excuse to not do squats. I like that the pad area tilts forward as you can see in my photo. This makes it very easy to get up in there and start. It comes all put together in a very large, heavy box. They pack it with way more plastic and foam than it needs since it would be almost impossible to damage this thing. Because it's so heavy duty it ways a lot more than a regular 45lb straight bar. At least 20lb more. This may be a problem for someone who can't lift 65plus lbs. onto the rack by themselves. The only thing I don't like is the bar is very smooth where the weight plates go. Spring clamps are completely useless. Even the clamps in my picture with rubber on the inside will slip if I tilt the bar at all. These same clamps hold on real tight with a ridged bar. I may start using two clamps on each side or find an even stronger clamp. ... show more

Bar arrived in perfect condition with both handles. No damage to box which only speaks to UPS personnel that handle the pkg. Would have been 5 star if bar pad cover was installed correctly by the Mfg. Will update after a few uses to determine comfort and sturdiness.
